I heard complaints about the lower grille on the model. I noticed it seems to be hollow. A hole in the place of the intake, unlike the upper on. Is there a panel to slide into that space? I might have missed it.
@facemodels Alright thanks. I don't have mine yet, but I'm going through the internet and getting as much info as I can on the model. I'm most likely going to buy it, it looks like an exceptional kit.
Very nice review but you didn't just say "deckle" did you? Come on now. How long have you been model making? I am going to watch again to make sure you didn't.
You did say "deckle"
It's pronounced "dee-cal" with emphasis on the first sylable. Try it: "dee-cal"

Thanks for posting this, your review has proven to be useful reference. This model isn't as good as the Viper Mk 2 model; indeed, less detail I think. It's also a bit easier to build. Painting the Mk 7 is easier, similar colours to current US Navy 'ghost grey' scheme. I think the hanger bay shot on the packet is a great addition, I made it a diorama background for my Mk2
@Nibenonn it's hard to say, if you can get over the sheer nothing that is the kit cockpit, then by all means, save your money. I've bought a few paragrafix PE products over the years, but never gotten around to using them so I can't really speak for their quality in that respect, but they do seem to know what they're doing from the pics I've seen
@Nibenonn I have buy it! Well...if you look to the Cockpit that is with the Kit, i think the PQ Cockpit is worth to buy! I mean when its in, it looks so frakkin cool!
Careful what you say about Moebius. They're really sensitive. I complained about the landing gear and the instructions on the mkII and I got a whole ration of shit for it by them and members at Hobbytalk.
@oliviasdaddy1 well if they're gonna come up this far short with a cockpit, I think they deserve it! After all, this is 2011, not 1978, people expect more from their models nowadays, especially one that's labelled as 'skill level 3'
@facemodels that's exactly what I thought! Just please be careful what you say 'round the forums if you value your friends and membership especially around g_xii at hobbytalk (if you go there).

@ZeroDude600 mine definitely had a grill part for the ventral intake, according to the instructions, it's part #31, hope you didn't lose yours!

Man, the photoetch cockpit set from Paragrafix cost more than the model kit itself.
Do you think its worth buying? .......anybody's opinion.

The Mk 7 kit is very good! Not many details in the cockpit ! But with some photo eached parts it will be looking good too!
