The fools in the city brought this on themselves by ignoring the rural areas for too long then backing a coup when Thaksin did what any smart politician would do - he appealed to people who were ignored. He paid attention to the out of towners and got their votes. Doesn't mean he's not corrupt...but you beat him by getting more votes next time.

@bioxx750F2 My thoughts exactly when the military refused to accept the results of the general election and effectively banned all opposition party leaders from politics, oh and then amended the constitution to suite their own agenda. I'm not a red or yellow shirt supporter but I find it terribly upsetting to see a beautiful country like Thailand ruined by military rule. Like it or not, Thailand is not a democracy, just look at their political track record. It's a complete sham.
