I only rented this game once for three days,but in that time Samanosuke became my favorite game chacacter ever! The only thing is,now that I have Samurai Warriors 2,I like Nobunaga,Ranmaru and Hideyoshi,but I don't so much like Mitsuhide!

I noticed you start the fight vs Ranmaru In Onimusha state and after that you lose some HP

as for me you know that I finish the game in devilish difficult too and from all boss I fight using Samanoske he is the most difficult for me Nobunaga guardian dog guildenstern I kill them without taking damage but as for ranmaru I can t and like you I take some damage

ps:he is the most difficult but only in the first encounter

On devilish difficulty, the only way to defeat Ranmaru is using issen; that's why I finished him with taking some dagmage because I wasn't good at catching the timing to use issen.

Can't enter Notre Dame? You probably need to go back to the sewer area to kill more enemies and earn enough souls to enhance your twin swords to level 2.

It's Samanosuke's theme. If you were to search for the music at Galbadia Hotel, you'll find it. But i'm trying to find out about the theme's name, when you fight Ranmaru for the first time in Honno-Ji Castle.

I stand somewhat self corrected, I didn't realize this took place in more modern times until later in the opening movie, after I posted. But I think what it's trying to get at is that spiritually wise, France is the strongest power when it comes to spiritual matters. Nobunaga has Japan in a mess, and for all we know, he could have taken out several countries on the way France, obviously taking those religions out of spiritual ranking. What do you have left? Catholicism. Hence: France.

I understand that may be: but keep in mind, maybe the US wasn't a power country at the time this game takes place. And if so, shouldn't it have been Great Britain instead? May the writers thought that England was still recovering from the Revolution, making France the strongest country.

The whole France thing was a bit much. You'd think if the Genma wanted to take over the world they would go after the nation with the most resources/ability to take over the world (IE: United States) Also the French-Japan thing seemed a little ackward, and while I don't study Japanese history extensivly, I don't remember France playing such a big role.

I feel as if the writers didn't want to deal with the burdens of Onimusha 2. The events in Samurai's Destiny seem of little consequence in this game. I really wish they would have kept the Resident Evil feel that Onimusha: Warlords had. But some parts (the modern day parts) did remind me a lot of Racoon City. The tone they gave Paris, especially at places such as the Sewers and Zoo, were good.

This has the best Gameplay and Enviroments, the Gameplay is truely the top of Onimuasha quality and it would never been surpassed (unless they make something past Dawn of Dreams). Story? Meh...so-so.

Yeah, I head the only reason he couldn't do the entire game was because of prior commitments... I guess the english dub is not terribly bad though.

as far as I know,he couldn´t voice the English parts because of his busy schedule,but did you know who voiced him in the English parts was the same voice actor who voiced Leon in Resident Evil 4 and Specter in SOCOM games?
