In the early 90s, Pitchshifter put out an album called Industrial, on Peaveville Records. It was basically a total ripoff of Godflesh - Streetcleaner. After that album they pretty much went in a more commercial direction.

It definitely has an industrial feel but death metal is more the relationship of notes, some of the best examples of modern composition, while spitting out anti hooks as opposed to pointed repetitive hooky riffs. Although I am a big fan of the pitchshifter :) Just wanted to clarify the difference.

@munruthel1 actually Black Sabbath invented all metal and in teh dio years they influenced alot of power metal bands. Judas priest is considered the beginning of speed metal but that does not mean that they nessasarrily are speed metal by modern definion.

Helloween was (by modern definition, keep in mind that as time moves forward so do classifications) power metal but also served as the founders of neo classical (somthing people like Yngwie would beat to death soon after)

Al J. was a fan of Pitchshifter before Ministry took off, but they never got it together like they should of to get to the top of their game. They still emulate a time of metal transformation of their own rite and helped pave the way for the industrial metal revolution. You're more than likely too young to know what I'm talking about.
