If you're viewing this in 3d by crossing your eyes, you may need to swap left/right (under 3d options) to get each image to the proper eye. If it's wrong (and it is on mine, in the default setting), you won't get the proper 3d effect.
Lightfield technology would be amazing for video. Imagine changing the focus mid-scene in post production!! I've been told that 8GB stores ~320 images, which is ~25.6MB per photo, or 600MB/sec. That, unfortunately, is five times the filesize of even uncompressed 1080p HD. Yikes.
What is the field-of-view of this camera? What is the resolution in terms of megapixels? Lytro says dont worry about MP - it has 11 megarays. That is fine, but photographers will want to print the pictures after re-focusing. How large a size can be printed depends on the image's resolution in terms of megapixels.
The 3D feature is amazing, but the changing focus after shot blew my mind!!! I read that the pictures from this first Lytro camera will not be high ress at all, the company is focusing on internet sharing imagery, how ever i as a pro photographer would love to have these amazing features in my Canon 5d!!!
Now thinking about Canon and Nikon... with this! they have a lot of work to do!
Lytro+High quality optics+Higher resolution= Huge issues for all the other camera companies.

Not at all. Canon has something like this in the works for a couple of years. They showed a prototype on one of the last photokinas I remember. And honestly I am not impressed by the Lytro. It sounds nice on paper but the image quality is abysmal. This will be a standard function in future DSLRs as well but I thing there ist still a long way to go.
