yeah i'll be honest with you. i think there are aspects of other candidates' plans that are worth looking at. i wouldn't VOTE for edwards, but i wish Republicans would talk about the poor more. it seems like we're not even talking about welfare reform much. that's why i like Rudy. he decreased the amount of people on welfare in NYC. he's done it! but i agree that if we increase the minimum wage too much it can be harmful to business and the economy. no, i'm not a RHINO
If you believe artificially increasing the value of productivity (minimum wage) is an answer to poverty, you sir are not a true believer in capitalism. Job hiring is voluntary both ways. Wages just like consumer goods should be adjusted according to supply and demand.
After all would you pay $10 per hour to one person when another says they'll do the same work for a $1 per hour? How are small businesses supposed to compete with big corporations when their profits are stripped down due to government regulations?
