you really shouldn't worry about that. i'm american but my mother's family comes from this little town. we visit every two years. they have some of the nicest people and they do get lots of tourists so they know how to treat ya. i highly recommend visiting there. it is absolutely beautiful.

I agree with the other commenters. Worse thing that can happen is buying too many peanuts of kids in the main plaza. Go and enjoy!!
