This is amazing :) I'm pretty new to corel, and I'm wondering how you changed the whole colour/shade of the art at around 2:04? Also, do you use a texture or grain in the background? Any tips would be appreciated :)
Excellent use of Painter. I like the use of lighting and especially back lighting in Painter.
Its interesting that the artistic golden ratio is built into the software. Its nice to be able to remove mistakes but I wonder if its the mistakes in hand drawn art that gives it that spiritual quality.
I am interested in possibly getting a Wacom tablet and a program for my artwork. I am currently using just paper and whatever else. I would like to know more about the tablet and the program you are using here. You are very talented. :]
those would be the divine porportion lines (I know that's not how you spell the word -.-) VERY good piece of work! I Really like how you started in grayscale, but converted to color =-)
good job i like the details like the fingernails more than the final painting. is that really how youre meant to use that divine proportion thing? someone make a tute on that lol
Превосходная работа, отменная техника, разве что цыган автор видел только в эротических фантазиях: девушка настолько европеоидная, что не спасает ни платочек, ни браслеты, ни побрякушки.
I was windering why you were doing this in grey scale first? was it too make it more crisp/ Becasue it seems that when you add more colors to a given value for an object it makes it more crisp.
I think it makes it easier to draw things when they're in black and white. It's much more simpler to work with plain black and white shadows and then throw the color in later.
Absolutely beautiful work and you inspire me. I saw your work of Jareth the Goblin King (the Goblin King's Wrath one) on Deviant Art and wow. I don't have a tablet or the latest version of Corel but my goodness... can I ask you for further detail on how you get the texture of the hair?? Did you go strand by strand? Also, the flesh and details to bone structure is STUNNING!
This is just my personal opinion, but I especially enjoy the fact that you are one of the few artists who are willing to admit that you change the vision. I do like the final position of the hand, but I also greatly enjoy watching the video just to see what you changed from conception to completion. Bravo!

Cool technique for adding skin texture! I'll have to remember that and give it a try. :)

Probably some obscure composition rule that I'm unaware of

Lines that show where proportionally, her shoulder and left eye, T-zone, lip level and brow line should be for the drawing.
I suppose, I don't know, I'm not nearly this advanced.

Do you use models for your art or are they just from your head?
patchoulip 2 years ago
All of the characters in my YouTube videos are from my head. I do use reference images for some of my more complicated paintings, however.

This is amazing. The way you keep retouching, like a musician doing overdubs, is humblingly precise in its artistic wisdom. Nicely done.
