  • I did find Micro Machines at EB games back in the mid 2000s for 10 bucks......one of the more memorable unlicensed games

  • hmm :notbad:

  • I've seen the AVGN reviews of some of the games.

  • Very good review.

It's nice to see younger kids enjoying consoles from my childhood, and not going on and on about Xbox and PS3 all the time.

    Good Job.

  • Also, I had the Teris game b4!!!

  • the Pac-man in ur video actually has an arcade game version. I played it in 1980s.

  • I remember going to the video stores back in the day to rent out NES games. There was no internet to see which games looked good other than commercials or magazines. It was just cool to see all the cheesy /cool box art and read the game details on the back of the box. I would basically rent out every game I could, but, back then that was part of the fun. You never knew what you were getting until you slide that game into that awesome grey box and powered on.

  • Action 52 is licenced

  • @TheIrateFan Action 52 licensed? Who'd you hear that from? .

  • @adamthegamer2008 from the AVGN. Action 52 episode? He didn´t say it was unlicensed at least. It even has a commercial that has never been release. The cheetamen. Check it out on youtube

  • You really know your games, Kid.

  • Micro Machines isn't unlicensed.

  • Ahh Duck Tales music brings me back.

  • Cool story bro, keep it up!

  • ASSHOLE! my favorite unliscensed game on the nes is Gauntlet!

  • you forgot rolling thunder!!!!!

  • Time?

  • Fun fact: A good bit of the Tengen games (such as Pacman) became licensed after the dispute between Tengen and Nintendo.

  • I was so amazing when first time I knew that Tengen Tetris is an unlicensed NES game! It's so good and always appears in those xxx-in-1 cartridges.

  • i have the original tetris from russia with fun

  • Pac-mania ia my favorite pacman game. Its in the arcade on the gamecube pacman world game, which is strange.

  • @theretrogamer14 it was excluded on perpus, because tengen mannaged to make a licenced version.

  • you were wrong when you said fantasy zone was of master system origen. It was actuaslly origenally an arcade game using the sega system 16 arcade board.

  • action 52.... barrrrffff

  • WHAT NO GAUNTLET!?!?!?!

  • I have the Commodore Amiga version of Big Nose the Caveman and from your description of the NES version I'm rather curious and excited to play it (The Amiga is a Christmas present, I've been stuck with emulation for the past few years). Great job! :)

  • I'll tell you another good one, MiG-29 Soviet Fighter.

Bible Adventures can get pretty intense in the later stages (particularly Noah's Ark)

Spiritual Warfare can also be fun if you give it a chance

  • Not a bad review. I'll sub to you, as you seem to know your stuff man.

  • My god. I thought video game rad kids were extinct by the late 90s. I was wrong. THIS IS AMAZING!

  • duck tales - the himalayas is the song if anyone was wondering

  • You sound like TJ out of Recess xD

  • also the reason that tengen tetris is unlicensed (if you don't already know) is because the people who actually own the license to tetris claimed copyright on the game and forced them to stop production and there are very few cartridges left of it which also explains why it's so rare and expensive.

  • for how young you sound that was a professional video great job. :)

  • cheatermen song in the background xD

  • soo weird i think its the first time i saw a kid in 2011 who love NES!! its like a miracle

  • @mortdepeur13 well i mean 2009 *

  • and dizzy games?

  • if you like platformers then the "Bonk" games on turbographix 16 were pretty wierd but cool.

  • It's funny I never saw unlicenced NES games here in Europe.

I suppose it's because we had so much successfull computers at the time. Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC 464, Sinclair Spectrum, Atari 520, Amiga, etc...

No need to bother to make a cartridge and a bypass chip when you can put your game on a tape ^^

That's nice seeing people get and keep them anyway. And even see some were good games, not poor Action 52-like games ^^

  • Good review dude! How old are you? Just curious because you seem knowledgeable and well articulate :-P

  • nice cheetamen music in the backround. :3

  • man i can't believe i just learned so much about NES from a youngster. keep it up dude

  • @vorebiz You know it's people like you that make gamers look bad. Who cares if people younger than 20 play NES games? There's no point, other than to give gamers a hard time for what they like. If I like NES games, who are you to tell me I shouldn't? When it comes to video games, age should only matter for the rating systems.

  • @adamthegamer2008 Excatly, I've got an xbox and a ps3 but I stick to my gba because it's just so much more fun to me, and so is my snes.

  • @zombipl0x Yeah man, some people just can't accept that kids like the games they liked. If my kid liked NES games, I'd be playing them with him all the time! I'd actually be really proud. But, some people just love to hate, I guess.

  • @adamthegamer2008 Ugh I just can't stand any of the dull brown graphics.

  • @zombipl0x Hey no worries, it's all up to personal preference.

  • @adamthegamer2008 Yeah, I just cant stand that new games arn't as colorfull and fun as they used to be... TOO MUCH BROWN WASTELANDS!

  • @adamthegamer2008 I'm 13 and AVGN got me into retro gaming. A few weeks after I started watching it, i bought an nes. While i do find some modern games fun, i'm not a call of duty fag like EVERY SINGLE OTHER PERSON IN MY FUCKING GRADE and i love old games the most. People are idiots, they complain about our generation playing too many fps, and then when we don't they yell at us to go back to them. Stupid dickheads. Anyways, nice review!

  • @zombipl0x My brothers both hooked up their PS3 and XBOX 360 to the living room TV. So you know what I did? Hooked up my NES to it! So when they are both away, I rock out on Kirby's Adventure! So much better than CoD.

  • @khoraski oddly enough I love the old hamtaro games, they are just so fun to play...

  • @vorebiz Get off the kids ass its alot better review than most people my age put up. Keep up the good work kid

  • @vorebiz who the hell are you to tell him he can't understand? Your never too young to understand NES. its nice to see that there are younger people that enjoy and appreciate old consoles. douchebag..

  • @vorebiz Wow. Way to troll.

  • @vorebiz I'm 14 and I grew up playing SNES and NES. noob.

  • i actually happens to own some of the games in this vid :D

  • How old are you? 14? It was a nice video, but it seems off because you sound younger,

  • @LittleBoxXx I think the NES died before this cub reviewer was born.

  • @purvicide The NES will never die.

  • Wow, this is actually a pretty good review. Nice work!

  • Nice!

  • Which came first? Tengen tetris or the official version?

  • Wow you put Big Nose of all games in but left out Gauntlet? Fuck you

  • Comment removed

  • Ooooh yeeaah Tengen Tetris. So superior.

  • tetris isnt an unlicenced

  • Camerica and especially Tengen were the only decent unlicensed NES games, probably because they were actual game developers who made actual licensed games for other systems. NES was way too into bs politics and exclusive deals in this era.

  • And Micro machines was made by codemasters, jeeeezz

  • @bartas2075 It was made by CAMERICA on the NES, by Codemasters on Sega systems. Don't correct people when you don't know anything yourself.

  • @kiwisoup camerica just converted those games and illegally published on nintendo but they were actually made by codemasters look it up bro

  • Quattro adventure is awesome, you know a jack shit kid...

  • chiller = bloodiest game ever, chiller also = shitty game

  • To bad you'd never, ever see these games on Virtual Console, but that just might make it more fun and interesting if you're a hard-core collector.

I like this video, but you should have mentioned how the original Tetris was made by a computer programer in the USSR.

  • I have to give you props for this video! I hope that you don't take this the wrong way, but you sound so young! If so, you know more than many "gamers" who are twice your age! Keep up the good work!

  • rofl tengen tetris used ducktales theme XD

  • My top 5 unlicensed NES games are:

    5-Rolling Thunder.

    4-Shinobi.

    3-Ms. Pac-Man.

    2-Tetris by Tengen.

    1-Gauntlet.

  • Chillers the shit.

  • I just got my toaster nes (I wanted the top loader :() do you know any good camerica games for the NES. And I agree, the tengen version of tetris is WAY better then the official version.

  • fantasy zone was owned by sega

  • pac mania is unlicensed? i didnt know that. well why the fuck wasnt it licensed??? its awesome!! good vid BTW

  • nice review, but you could of put a top 10 in there, because there is other good games to

  • Agreed. Tetris by Tengen is fuckin' awesome.

  • wow nice video.

have you played bee 52 by Camerica? it has like a 3-d type control to it.

i have Tengen RBI baseball & alien syndrome :)

  • I really would have not included ports really.

  • dope vid

  • you said 'sega' wrong

  • @ibe3000

No it's said "Say-ga" and that's what he said.

  • @hobodude68 it's not say-ga in new zealand :P

  • @ibe3000

Well the company named themselves Say-ga, so It should be Say ga New Zealand.

  • great pick on micro machines...so many good memories...

  • I agree with your list but Tengen's Ms. Paman is missing. I know, you have Pacmania, but I believe both should be on there. The Tengen Ms. Pacman has two things going for it that other Ms. Pacman versions dont have. First, it can be played as a 2 player co-op(as the same time). This makes the game soooo much fun. Secondly, it has an option (I think it is called Strange Maze) that has totally new and crazy mazes. Check this game out and play it with a friend and tell me I am wrong. :)

  • lol ducktales music at the end

  • What a stupid voice

  • lol. "Have a great day everybody." Thanks. You too. =D

  • You know, for a person who sounds so young, you gave pretty good review. . so much nicer than hearing people whine about how much so and so sucks. good job :)

  • Good choice for #1, gotta love Tengen :D

  • @ST0PM0SS

This video is all opinion. If you disagree, then make your own video. I did put Gauntlet in the video saying it was a good unlicensced game. I just like these other ones better!

  • nice review

  • This is my top 10

    1. Mig 29 - Camerica

    2. Battle Kid - Homebrew

    3. Tetris - Tengen

    4. The Ultimate Stuntman - Camerica

    5. Bubble Bath Babes - Panesian

  • Adam, you and I are on the same wave length! Micro Machines is one of my all time favs, esp. in 2 player mode. The off-screening races are so much fun. Also, the N64 version was the only game I ever bought for N64. Tengen Tetris! For real! A versus mode, a block counter, cooperative mode... Wait, actually, cooperative mode caused a lot of fist-fights. But versus mode! Why didn't Nintendo make a versus mode on their colorful, yet, sub-par version?

  • great video, im looking into adding some unlicensed games to my collection, now i know where to look :D

  • man I hope nintendo does'nt put tetris (Licenced)

    On VC

  • Nice review!

    I love Fantasy Zone too!

Fantasy Zone II is good too.

    Good music in those games.

  • fag.

  • You have awesome vids

  • thank you!

  • lol, the intro to cheetahmen 2 as the music

  • It's also the theme to FUZZ Power on Action 52.

  • Awesome list! These games seem so radical and interesting. Will definetely check 'em out.

  • pretty cool. and i never knew pacman was unlisenced

  • Great video Adam! I remember playing pacmania on game boy like you said. Nice job :D

  • I heard Ultimate Stuntman was actually not too bad either. Codemasters/Camerica was hit and miss with their stuff.

  • I just bought Fantasy Zone! I had this game when I was a kid!

  • whats the first song?

  • Ducktales-Himalayas!

  • great video! "pac-mania" is definitely one of my favorites, too. i give this a rating of 5 out of 5.

  • This is pretty good man.

  • You gonna be streaming soon? ;D

  • In December I may do a couple of streams.

  • <3 thx adam.

  • Tetris is probably one of my favorite games of all time. I used to play Tetris on Gameboy and the old Nintendo one too with my family when it had that cool blue color.

  • You put a lot of work into these huh?

  • Not really this on this one, the script is from September. Before all the editing and recording.

  • But you have to look through a lot of games...

  • Yeah, I had to play a lot of the games, but I knew a lot of them were bad at the start!
