  • This episode and entire season felt weird, but this ending was awesome beyond belief.

What do you do when you win? Party. What do you do when you lose? Party harder.

  • Dr Harouny, you had me. I was wondering whether i have just seen the last episode of house for a few seconds. Possibly the best ever House scene.

  • Honestly, I couldn't think of a better song to depict the emotional state in which House is in that scene. A man trapped inside a crippled and drug addicted body who longs only for some sort of happiness in his life.

Truly a magnificent song, a magnificent scene and an incredible actor.

  • Man! i was so scared when he took that step.

  • how many of you thought he was going to die ?

  • I was like: NOOOOOOOO! You got me, House.

  • Another great song sewn with the series in a fantastic way. Probably the only series that has done it so many times with such success.

  • Hurdy Gurdy! Arcade Fire much?

  • What series MD HOUSE is that ending from ?

  • @adneciatko Description

  • Man, this show is just awesome...all the time

  • there's no way he's gonna jump out of a balcony that high into a pool that shallow and not break something. sorry, but i gotta be logical.

    awesome scene though :D :D

  • i know that feeling... :)

  • some freakin' weird extras in this scene,i'll give you that !

  • What was that ....

What are you doing when you win - PARTY

What are you doing when you loose - ????? < what they are screaming ?

  • @adneciatko PARTY HARDER!!! lol ;)

  • Amazing. Best.

  • Would make a good teaser to make a commercial that ends right before the view changes and he yells "Cannonball".

  • The beauty in this scene, is the end, which should be good because he's not dead, but it almost as bad as death, because his soul is sick, doped and scarred

  • I like the original by Arcade Fire better, but that wouldn't have suited this scene. The lyrics are most important and the sober mood of the song, and Gabriel articulates the lyrics better/more, whereas AF's original is much more dramatic with the music.

I love this scene :) I hadn't expected that epic twist. I was like 'ZOMG WTF' until the very last second until he said CANNONBAAAALL!

  • This is song is by The Arcade Fire, but the Peter Gabriel Cover suits this scene much better. It gives a better light to this song too.

  • no reason, both sides now, broken... this tv series has a lot of epic scenes... but this... is simply brilliant

    five stars

  • JIZZED IN MY PANTS!

  • Comment removed

  • glad they didn't use free bird.

  • just thought i'd point out its actually by peter gabriel... not arcade fire..... still love it though :) thanks for posting!

  • @Territorialprincess its a peter gabriel's COVER of arcade fire's song. as it is written.

  • The second best ending of a House episode. The best was the end of season 5 with As Tears Go By.

  • This scene just made me fall in love with House again

But still - DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME (or anywhere). At this height you'd definitely hit the ground of the pool real hard. I jumped off a much lower bridge into a much deeper river last summer just for the kick, hit the ground and cut my leg open on a rock. The same summer a 12 year old died at the same spot because of a head dive. Get your adrenaline elsewhere! (like asking a Hillybilly out or sthg)

  • amazing scene!

  • i cant stop whatching it!!!lov it!!

  • This scene left me shaking.. Most intense TV ever.

  • I started yellin "Noooo!" since I've heard ... "My body is a CAGE".

    I was yelling...

And I couldn't laugh, I just was happy. Happy...

  • Poor Wilson thinking his lover, ahem cough cough friend, is dying. :)

  • End in the end Wilson almost dies of a heart attack b/c his lover almost killed himself. ahem, I mean, they are just friends. :)

  • Cannonball! His depression makes me want to cry!

  • Perfect.

  • poignant, I suffer from chronic pain and illness and this, well, it says it all. There is no joy, no feeling and you try to fill that void. don't know if we ever do

  • This would have been perfect for the man in Black. GREAT cover, wish I knew who did it and I wouold buy it

  • @joolspirog Peter Gabriel.

  • @JustGeorgeTV Thanks mate

  • @joolspirog this version was by arcade fire

  • Does anyone else ever wonder how they always manage to pick the PERFECT ending songs?

  • The best ending theme for HOUSE!!!!

  • @Benni2509 My thoughts are that they clicked away before house hit the pool, or they felt the song was too slow.

  • it kept in suspence when i was watching it first time

  • this scene is brilliant! and of course this cover! i love it!:))

  • very nice !!

  • Best cover ever!!

  • love this song

  • That awkward moment when the cover is better than the original.

  • @3rkid2 so much better

  • Now I see not just I liked this part from the last episode :D

  • couldn't stop smiling for an hour when i sawi t

  • House turned into Charlie Sheen

  • @holocaust86

that was what I was thinking

  • what an impact!!! i agree with all the comments; it´s the best secuence in house ever: Chilling, dramatic in the best way, epic, could be the show´s climax; the duality between images and music are perfect. awesome direction, awesome acting, terrific edition... what else: Brilliant!

  • The only reason I download the Peter Gabriel Album Scratch my back (full of covers like this) was this song, great scene, House is so desperate to find something that moves his soul that he jumps it reminds me to a Charly Garcia he did the same thing and yes I still get chills when I hear the song it's so dead on on what's happening on House mind.

    Thanks for the upload

  • I love the way they make a little "tribute" to Arcade Fire with the cover My Body is a Cage and the Hurdy gurdy in the floor

  • I love the way they make a little "tribute" to Arcade Fire with the cover My Body is a Cage and the Hurdy gurdy in the floor

  • Absolutely spectacular scene. My heart came out of my chest.

  • best scene since the crane episode where that girl dies and house almost goes mad and back on vicodin:(

  • What do we do when we win?

    WE PARTY!

What do we do when we lose?!

    PARTY HARDER!!!!!

god i love this show :)

  • great

  • It's My Body is a Cage by Peter Gabriel, not Arcade Fire, tho.

    Also, great scene.

  • Man I feel so sorry for Wilson! .... DAMN!!

Even though this is the 4th or 5th time I've watched this scene, I STILL got chills!! ... every time. THAT'S how good it is! And trust me ... I don't get chills easily! ;)

  • cannonball!:DD

  • 2:46

  • Man, House is an amazing show. They keep finding ways to cut right into your core emotions with scenes like this and epic music.

  • My heart was breaking every time they cut to Wilson's face!

  • It was one of the most brilliant scenes in the whole seasons...

So depressing, so dramatic and this Houses eyes and weird smile while standing there... While playing this music... So much of emotions...

    Masterpiece!!!

  • - What do you do when you win?

    - Party!

    - What do you do when you lose?

    - Party harder!

  • hey does anybody know who sang this?

  • @gijo401 Peter Gabriel

  • @gijo401

    Read the description twat

  • @gijo401 You fail at the internet.

  • @edsheadsaid LMAO!

  • i just watched this episode.... and omg when i saw him climbing... so much emotion came and i started crying.... this scene was brilliant! done soooooo BEAUTIFULLY.... and the music.... i swear i almost had a heart attack.

  • co za ciula dała 1?

  • Let's throw the one guy who dislikes this from a hotel without a pool.

  • i couldn't believe he jumped, but when he said 'cannon ball' i felt so freaking relieved.

  • Some one missed the like button

  • Cool Song!

  • BRILLIANT & DRAMATIC scene, BRILLIANT & DRAMATIC orchestration.

  • Am I the only one who thinks he looks like Jim Carrey while he's underwater?

  • what is hapaning to house here is he upset over cuddy or that he doensnt have fun with anything anymore

  • @wickedliza503 it's probably that he's upset over cuddy. the lyrics go "my body is a cage, that keeps me dancing from the one i love." house's body, more specifically his leg, keeps him from "dancing" with cuddy.

  • @wickedliza503

i think he realized that he can't always live life being miserable. i think he's trying to have fun, but being as miserable as he is and being who he is, he has to do something big, something crazy, something over the top.

  • It's hard to describe it... but right about now, I do kinda feel like he's feeling.

  • I already know what's going to happen, but I still get chills and slightly nervous when i watch this scene! Amazing performance!

  • there's no way you guys put legend in Portuguese here in Brazil people adoration house

  • what you do when you win? party!! what you do when you lose? PARTY HARDER!

  • 2:34 best part!! house just smiles at wilson and is all like fuck yo couch nigga, jumps like a badass

  • 0 dislike at all, this is what House M.D. really is.

  • i was almost in tears when i was watching this real episode! i thought he would die!!!! ),= <3 gotta luv house!!!!!!!!

  • EPIC!

  • This was an amazing scene! The show should get an Emmy for this scene alone. I was screaming NOOOOOOOO! up until the very last minute. And then I was laughing my ass off, lol.

  • @jennaheart same here

  • This scene is proof positive is nowhere near "jumping the shark".

  • @jennaheart I'd say you weren't alone in that lol

  • @jennaheart spoiler -.-

  • I thought Wilson was going to show up last minute and snatch him away from the balcony and when he just ... jumped.. my jaw dropped! Then when he said "cannonball!" I literally screamed out "YOU SON OF A BITCH" and then I started to laugh haha ohh man I was sweating bullets.

This was seriously an emotional scene! God I love House<3

  • I almost threw my TV out the window when I first viewed this.

    Excellent drama.

  • amazing. i immediately sought out this amazing cover.

  • not a season 7 house fan but this scene is the best scene in the season!

  • I cried so much!! X(

  • best episode ever

  • excellent Laurie with fantastic song!

  • love how the music fits the scenes

I prefer the original version of the song, thou

  • Se a série terminasse nesta cena, eu estaria feliz.

  • When this song started playing my respect for this show grew exsponentially

  • Does anyone know who sings this cover of the song??

  • @ratedrkodeadman It's Peter Gabriel.

  • Did anyone else notice that he fell into the water on his left side, yet when it showed him under water he was falling on his right side? Just an interesting tidbit of information. I love House. Without Hugh Laurie, this show would be nothing.

  • I've just watched the episode with my sister, Hugh Laurie's acting and innovating part of this role-play just getting better and better.

  • The episode was really cool, they are getting back at their season 2/3/4 style while keeping their high quality scenery and actors

  • This is absolutely genius scene! It's absolutely!

  • I still have a pit in my stomach watching it....the song breaks my heart. Peter Gabriel did an amazing cover of that song. I know Hugh Laurie is the king of wordless expression--he can say thousands of things without saying a word. RSL just earned his rank in those final moments (of course with the exclusion of Noooooo). Even if he could see House's trajectory when we couldn't,he looked like he would go cry or throw up. Definitely disturbed esp after losing Amber.

  • fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

    greatttttttttttttttttttttttttt

    just great sceneeee!

for a moment o thought he was doing suicide fuckkk

  • Would have been an epic ending to a great show. This is just a tease going for the shock effect. Everything that can be said about House has already been said, so his suicide is the only logical conclusion. Everything have been building up to this for 7 seasons. I doubt the producers have the stones to end it that way though...

  • best scene in a tv series ever. I'm blown away

  • GENUINE Smile on House's face ! <3

  • This is the most invoking scene ever. It's the kind of scene that could have ended the series, had it finished in mid-air. They used this scene in season 7 and I was amazed, I had to watch it, over, and over, and over, and over again. I still have the same feeling every time I watch it. This scene is on a grand scale that no other show could compare. Now I'm left asking myself...HOW WILL IT END???

  • When he stepped on the railing I started yelling at the TV "No! House, don't do it!!!"

Also, House is becoming more destructive than his last run-in with his addiction. His patient merely became a source of entertainment for him not regarding his well-being whatsoever. The final scene where Foreman yells up to House in the viewing booth "It worked, House!" and he simply replies with "I heard you." and an unsatisfied look like he was expecting more to go wrong..for his simple thrills

  • Still sends shivers up my back just thinking about this last scene!

  • In this episode it's like he literally goes through hookers like pairs of socks.

  • the messed up hotel room reminds me of inception. gotta love it when he smiles, he is trying to feel "alive" and he just realized he is an adrenaline junky like the bull rider earlier in the episode

  • does anybody know the model of house's shoes?

  • I knew the song Loooooong before the episode of course! But I think it works here PERFECTLY!!

  • OMG! Scene of the year!!!!

  • I still love how well they concealed the pool until the last second.

  • OMG I swear to God I almost cried when I saw this.

  • I love the instrumental part at 2:20 can anyone recommend a song?

  • @ShamRockvb try passacaglia from battlestar galactica ost

  • I second that the extra in the bottom left corner at 2:26 is the most unenthusiastic and worthless extra there has ever been. He's just...so half-hearted. Like they redid the take a dozen times and he was just going through motions. Or he has no soul. Personally I'm sticking with the latter.

  • @Edivhjortalus Yes I noticed that too. Hope he never works in TV again.

  • c a n n o n b a l l ! ! !

  • Best scene ever in House

  • aww,I like this scene and this song so much. But I hoped that House wanted to do suicide, by the way scene is awesome!

  • 150 likes, 0 dislikes what does that tell you, HOUSE IS GREAT

  • @Cooluyo You just had to point that out. Look what you did.

  • @Cooluyo - True, but not just House... this song is amazing. Ha ha. I don't care so much for the voice, but the MUSIC... MY GAWD! AMAZING!! I wish more artists would produce dramatic orchestrated pieces like this.

  • @Cooluyo HAH! It's 466 likes, NO dislikes now!

  • The great thing about this is how many ways there are to interpret it. Was this a happy overcoming of his demons, a discovery of real happiness for himself - within himself - finally? Or is this just more thrill seeking, denoting that now the only way he can experience excitement or joy is to risk his own wellbeing? Is this a good sign, or a sign that he's getting worse and becoming reckless? How far will he go for his "fix?" Or was this him finding a way out of that conundrum? We'll see...

  • najbolja scena :D

  • amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing scene ever <3<3<3

  • 3:22 MIchael Rosen. or all british people smile like that. anyway, beautiful scene. beautiful smile. bittersweet. can't wait for next week.

  • this was such a great scence!!!! what a change of emotions

  • What do you do you when you win? "Party!!!"

What do you do when you lose? "Party harder!!!"

  • I somehow knew there would be a pool, but still easily one of the best scenes from season 7.

  • This made me cry in the beginning then I laughed from the fact that the producer is a genius!

  • lol 3:58 girl with beer remembers she's pregnant....

  • So powerful... When I thought this show had reached it's peak of epicness, they do this. So emotional, powerful, strong...

  • Comment removed

  • This is probably my favorite House scene OF ALL TIME.

  • this would actually be a great ending to the whole series... if he killed himself.

  • @pedroleonelsilva

But he said in a previous episode he thought suicide was stupid.

  • @tipoomaster well, i thought about it , and it would be a pretty good finale. now it can´t be because they wasted their chance, obviously. but it has to end someday. and to a character like house, i think it the most beautiful ending would be suicide, showing that we would never achieve happiness.

  • @pedroleonelsilva I get what you mean, and after the hallucinations in the (last?) season, I thought they were gonna off him in this episode. Would have been beautiful.

  • "CANON BAAAAALL!!!!"

  • Comment removed

  • @shanolax WRONG WRONG WRONG YOU AMATEUR!

  • @shanolax

Peter did this cover of it, the song is by Arcade Fire.

  • @tipoomaster: It's kinda better this way...

  • I thought that smile that House had on his face on the edge of balcony was the final good bye to his interminable pains , but I was wrong. That smile was a show of his victory over whatever held him back from being free (Of course, I don't want House to be an addict again though...)

  • This entire episode was a visual feast! And then this fantastic scene... pure awesome :)

  • One of the best cinematic scenes ever made.

  • The song is a cover by Peter Grabriel.
