These jap motherf*! Look at this shit at 0:51. A G27 boxing on the left side by the table. And they still couldnt manage to fully implement G27 (G25) wheel into the game. Its a semi-finished game as most of us know by now. After 5 years?! For a motorsport sim enthusiast like myself GT5 itself is a huge letdown. Not even close to a "The Real Driving Simulator". I guess I just expected too much from a (by now old) console. Now back to iRacing. With G27, TrackIR and a TripleHead its amazing.

This is NOT Nürburgring, Nürburgring is just a part of the Nordschleife. Kazunori is driving in the Nordschleife (which is about 20 km long), not in Nürburgring. Believe or not, but that's true. Sorry.

Uskoisin, että tulemme näkemään formuloitakin pelissä, sillä olihan niitä GT4: ssakin. People say the driving in GT feels slow, but if you compare this video to Kazunori's actual Nurburgring video, the scenery seems to move a LOT faster in the game.

yes the driving feels slow in GT , because its razor sharp without motion blur and that make it feels slow ... when you see every few yards the street textures and grass textures repeating and so on ... well thats not real . put a little bit motion blur in the game , and you will see it looks way faster and more real. and in this video it just looks faster cause the cameraman is further away from the screen. if he recorded on the spot where yamauchi sits , it would look slow as well .

Well in reality it depends on how narrow or wide the road is, and you need to add how low your car is or how big it is. I was doing a 130+ in my 350Z at the interstate with 4 lane, and everything feels slow, but when i was doing 80 at country roads it feels fast.

The problem is that you don't have as much field of vision in a video game as you do in real life.

Objects move past you quicker as they get closer to you.

To TRULY make you feel the speed, a driving game would need the screen to curve around in front of you 180 degrees.

That way you can see the scenery move by on the sides.

so then use some tricks to make it feel faster. ever played the serious sims on the PC or even forza? they all feel way faster than Gran Turismo.... so whats wrong? =(

Gran Turismo is not about trickery. Its about simulation.

Which is why I believe they'll try to include 3D, or at the very least... headtracking. ^_^
