  • @DjFjorgyn try to invest in gold, silver, etc; they'll always retain value.

  • There are some attractive patterns here. You certainly have more than we do!

  • Hey i have a question.

im going 2 Duluth 2 stay with my brother and were going agate hunting. He has permission and permets for some gravel pits. first off are gravel pits as good as everyone says they for agate hunting?and second where could i get them polished up and does it coast money 2 polish them? if so what is the price range for it? Thanks 4 helping=)

  • @paintballerl1995 Try looking for agates in the gravel pits Im sure you wont be dissappointed that is where some of the best are found.

Im not sure how or who could polish for you but if you plan to look for agates on regular basis Id recommend buying a polisher yourself maybe a pound size would be nice, and all the grits needed.

Try google Agate City Two Harbors they may be able to assist you

    Good luck have fun

  • @paintballerl1995 dude i live in duluth minnesota and agates are easy to find but the big one you have to go scooba diving off shorecause it gets up to 300 ft deep.......pluss the water yearly is about 50 degrees...but you get used to it...

  • go to moose lake agate days? i did. best day of my life. lol. it was cool though

  • Seth sucks at agate picking...J/K

  • nice , go sell one for 25 Bucks or dollars :p bigger = more cash if you collect many of them you can sell like 125 million dollars .

  • Thanks for posting the vid! Beautiful agates! Have you ever tried face polishing. I tend to like them better that way because then you get to see the contrast between what the look like pre and post polish.

  • Twinsfan28, no I havent tried face polishing but havent even seen it polished except in store front windows or at shops that sell agates and stuff. LOL

    Thanks

  • hi there, i would like to know how do you polish these stones to shine, issit you use the tumbler? if you do please reply me and guide me how to use and what sort of material that i need, i am a hobby too like you do, but i can't stand seeing these stones in raw and unpolished stat, urgent ya

  • JackyLum read more of my description and we purchased all we needed up in Two Harbors MN. at Roberts Jewerly.

If you google Agate City Two Harbors MN. should get you all the info you will need.

Good luck we bought about a pound toumbler about four different grits needed and thats about all. After following the easy to follow directions on the grits all need to do is add the water and let run for each grit cycle about 7-9 days.

. Hope this helps you some.

    Thanks
