  • How about Canned Heat?

  • they look like The Impossibles :D

  • Its Gasy!!! never heard that term before!!! sounds like a problem with the colon!!

  • why cant families shit around and enjoy a nice trip together like they used to

  • I'm pretty sure this song is about taking a shit.

  • NOW THAT'S A CAPE

  • One of the best Garage bands ever!

  • I remember this episode! The husband of the spastic dancer becomes the groups manager, and later on Joe Besser(!) appears leading a Salvation Army-type brass band and they all play Some Enchanted Evening (I kid you not)

  • Sky Saxon, the singer, is dead. RIP singer man

  • broads gettin' down HARD

    (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh)

  • i was about the distance away from them at the hullabaloo in hollywood....it was a gas.

  • The people in the background are a crackup.

  • This was filmed on the set of "The Mothers In Law" TV series about 1967. The girl who can't dance is Deborah Walley (Gidget)- Man with ear problem is Leon Ames- Wilburs Neighbor on Mr. Ed- Eve Arden and Kaye Ballard had great Hollywood & Broadway careers from the 30's on. Eve was probably the best looking and funniest female comic and I can remember Kaye being a panelist on Whats My Line. Roger Carmel best known for Harcount Fenton Mudd from Star Trek. I couldn't get a good look at the gassy guy

  • GASSY!!! =)

  • What makes this song so gassy is the constant

hit on the big tom (drums)

  • For that tribal feel ☺

  • the experssions of the people watching are priceless. the envelope was really being pushed back then. i don't think people realize how much "society's rules" were being changed by groups like the seeds back then. just having long hair was a real statement.

  • u get your culture from tv?

anyway the lead singers hair style is back in for younger guys like 11-16

  • i dont see anyone with these haircuts... anywhere.

  • I think is gassy !

  • Cool! Always liked this song!

    Thanks for posting it!

  • I LOVE the expression on the old guys face! He looks like he's going to bolt for the door at any minute! Excellent song.

  • I wasn't even born. But it's gassy!

  • dont we all wish we could dance 'spastic' like this and get away with it in the year 2007?..honestly i wish i could have been that spastic dancing go go girl..just so i could say i danced next to the seeds while they performed pushing too hard..laugh!

  • I heard this song as a youngster and always liked it, but the girl's dancing is spastic!

  • The Seeds were one of the first punk/grunge rock and rollers in history. Garage one hit wonders rock!

  • I m 42 yrs old, I heard that song for the first time about 20 yrs ago and tonight it s the very first time I can watch the group on video UNBELIEVABLE

  • Great song! If this song was re-reased today, it would probably be a hit.

    Dave

  • The song has been re-made, many times.. I have a great dance version of this song, from the late 70s.

  • Fildefer rules for uploading this gem. One of the greatest garage rock tunes ever penned and performed--that's the great, strange Sky Saxon on the vocal and tambourine--does fildefer or anyone know the sitcom this was on? I don't recognize anyone--the pained looks are priceless as is the cage-style hullabaloo-shindig dancing by blondie over there. Thanx again.

  • The Mothers-in-Laws, staring Eve Arden and Kay Ballard. Aired, September 10, 1967 - September 7, 1969 Sunday nights at 8:30pm

  • Thanks brkitdwn--how the hell did you know that? Of course I remember Eve Arden in "Our Miss Brooks" but don't remember that show at all. I started smoking weed around then and that show escaped me. Yeah and Kay Ballard had this real big mouth, right? Didn't know the song was re-made but it couldn't have beaten the original with the wild Sky Saxon on vocals. Think he had "personal problems" later on. Thanx again.

  • I never saw that episode, though, I remember the show. And, only from reruns I saw of the characters, not because I grew up during that era. I googled the Eve Arden and Kay Ballard.. That's how I found it.

  • Nice work!

  • That was bad dancing but good music.

  • cool, that song is played in a episode of lost
