I know it is a bit too late, thanks for the video. This helps me to prep my hardware lab exam. And yes I have to assemble a PC that is even older the the one in the video.
This must be from the year 2000. OLDER than the infamous heatsink video from Tom's Hardware :p
Anyway, it's still useful, because even though the years have passed, all those components still exist, although evolved; now, the floppy drives are gone, of course xD

I never used a tutorial to build my computer. I just thought to myself, what the heck do I need to build a computer? I bought all the parts, and made sure everything was compatible, then assembled, starting with the MB. It's pretty intuitive.
What´s better, get CPU and RAM to motherboard first and board with these components get into the board or place only empty MB to the case and then install other components? Thanx for answers.
its better to put components on the motherboard first as it gives you more room to work. It also creats less preasure on the motherboard when pushing things like the RAM into place.
My old P3 & P4 processors had thermal paste pre-installed on the heat sink in some kind of strip. I do also find it odd that there wasn't mention of it at all.
do we have to have a flopy drive
