2008 USTA Nationals - Intermediate Dance Twirl 9 year old

USTA/WBTF intermediate is very different from NBTA intermediate. Notice the turn out and strength in her movement for a young one. The twirling isn't as hard, but I bet she practices just as hard. I went to a USTA camp, and they like spinners pulled up from tight fifth then tendue while still maintaining turn out. Have to find and use more muscles. It's harder to execute that way but can make for a cleaner appearance.

I've been twirling JUST 20 years and believe the girl in this video and Jilena both have bright twirling futures.

i think this little girl is very good , her horizontals are very good espacially cause shes not reaching to catch the baton , she streches the right amount as some people will over strecht their legs on leaps and kicks , her rolls are lovely and to me shes REALLY good at twirling

your daughter might be on a 3 spin but that doesnt mean shes doing it properly , even if she catches it it doesnt mean shes doing it correctly

I have never said that my daughter is better then her. I just said that I was proud of my daughter doing more tricks then her and she is only beginner. She just won 2 National Titles and a 3rd place. And.... she won the scholarship of Baton Biz.com. Don't need to say more..... Good luck.

no i say what i think , i have been twirling for almost nine years know and it takes a long time to be good , i hate it when people start bragging cause they dont know what there talking abou , the ligistics of the twilring i should say , and how do i not take critisim well? i dont have a video up here and if i did and some one was sayin stuff abou abou it then i was shooting back that would be not being able to take critism well , just fuck off will ya and stop makin lil kids feel bad

I'm in the sport for over 28 years now, I have a World champion and 6 European Champions "under my wings", so I don't know where I'm talking about?? Please don't talk to me anymore because people who are using words like the F* word are not very much to me. why are ya screamin at me? im only 14 so of course im not going to be in it 28 years and in Ireland we dont hold world champions and with another sister in the sport we cant afford to go away so you can stop screamin at me you freak , first you try to make a 9 year old feel bad and now your screamin at a 14 year old?

Well I must say: it makes me even feel more proud about my own little girl. She is 7 years old, still beginner and she can do 2 spins and a 3 spin already. I think the basic standard in Holland is pretty high then.

@MarilynMonroe4eva Well, to tell you the truth: I don't train like a dog , my daughter just has TALENT! She just turned 8 and she will have Nationals in 2 weeks. After that her routines will be here on Youtube. Watch for yourself then.

Well, I never told you my daughter is good! I just said that she can do the same and even more then the girl in the video. And she is 9 and intermediate. So we'll see but I'm very proud of my little girl .
