  • It looks like an old pipe to me. Maybe for oil or sewage or something. I don't know just a pipe I guess

  • it could well be something from a prevouse scanning of loch ness from some years back or like someone else as said about during the war doing tests etc for tracking subs.

  • Close - it was used during a previous survey and not that long ago. What's more, it wasn't supposed to have been left there ... (and no, we didn't leave it)

  • if your saying close then you must know what it is and what it was used for. so come on spill the beans.

  • What and spoil all the fun?

  • at the beginning when it shows the metal thing with the pics. on it it kind of looked like a tracking device to me

  • Hey, its an old pipe they used to transport oil and gas in.

Its just old and since our age of teechnology has advanced, they shut it down and just forgot about it.

  • No it isn't an old pipe.

  • Anyone agree with me that there is no Loch Ness Monster and there never has been?

  • No idea if there is a Loch Ness monster now but I am sure there would have been something similar when dinosaurs still existed. Of course, the big question is, did Loch Ness itself exist then?

  • OMG! How long it is??Sooo scary!

  • lol, this only shows metal pecies of stuff

  • I love stuff like this! Not that I can help you identify it... The more I kept watching the more I want to say it's someone's attempt at building a fake Nessie, but the numerous antennae sort of discard that crackpot theory =) The thing in the beginning looked like a fin of some sort to me... Or not. Ah well, very interesting - amazing what people toss into nearby bodies of water instead of driving to the tip.

  • I have no idea what it is for. But maybe the best place to start is by researching the picture on the fin of the object. What kind of sword or saber is that, from what era, (like how flowers have meaning does the saber have a specific meaning?) is that a picture of nessie below it? or something else? I'm simply a housewife so I don't know much lol but I know the best way to discover and learn is through research :) good luck!

  • where is the loch ness monster???

  • This is a video of something on the bottom of Loch Ness. No idea where the monster is ... maybe it's popped out to the North Sea for some dinner!

  • The last vid I watched these scientist diver guys found an old shipwreck never before recorded. It may have something to do with this.

  • honestly... i think ur really smart

  • sorry to be saying this but this is not the Titanic u can still see the sun this is maybe like 15-27meters down

  • Sorry but that's not the sun you can see, it's one of the very powerful lights on our camera housing which is being reflected back by the metal artefact.

  • Looks like someone threw an old water heater overboard.

  • Much too big for a water heater ... nice try though

  • Did u ever think of it as something from the war? I do know the army during WWII used the loch as a base for submarine hunting and that mght be piece of a plane or military object, hey u never know.

  • i think its another part of the titanic ship...

i feel sorry for the people who died in there

i wish i could turn back the time and save the people!:)

  • Sparklyjane, wrong body of water for the Titanic. Loch Ness is in Scotland and is a maximum of 764 feet deep. The wreck of the Titanic is at 12,600 feet in the North Atlantic Ocean, 450 miles south east of Halifax. If you want to feel sorry for some people why don't you feel sorry for those alive and in need now - you can help them - there's no point feeling sorry for people who were lost nearly 100 years ago!

  • THE LOCH NESS MONSTER EXISTS

  • Nessie may well exist in another reality - not too sure about it existing in this one though and putting your statement in CAPITALS doesn't make it any more likely.

  • Well my friend there is a passage from the lake to the Atlantic Ocean the monster maybe is going there

  • Ah that explains where Nessie must have gone during the three weeks we spent mapping Loch Ness with sonar and magnetometer in September 2006!

  • i saw nessie in lake tahoe i was looking at the moutains and i saw a head pop out a little bit and it cant be a animal or a person the water was really cold and then the head disapper

  • In memory of Steve Carmichael-Timson 1958 - 2008

  • thats weird video...

  • where r the fish

  • i dont get what is in this video... =S

  • I think its a piece of boat equipment that have sunk.

  • nessie is real

    no doubt about it

  • i would have shit in my swimsuit

  • To RuffJeff lots of people swim in the loch they have even swum the full length.

  • lol 4 all u nessie believers, if theres a non believer, just tell them that if there really is no Loch Ness Monster, u wudnt mind swimming around and floating in the lake 4 a while and im sure as hell they wont do it...xDDDD

  • i love the monsters

  • you need to show this to Adrian Shine. He certainly knows what most of the stuff in the loch is. I'm sure he ahs seen most of the video and sidescan stuff that's out there. He was a wealth of info when we worked there in august of 2001.

  • To me it appears to be either an old weather monitoring / navigational buoy that had sunk or scientific gathering equipment no longer in service or perhaps still is to some extent.

  • loch ness is the darkest water i've ever seen, no wonder it is so hard to find this monster

  • Clearly a pipe system or the left overs of a boat that has sunken.

Obviously man made but for what purpose ? You would have to take it up with local officials i'd say.

  • Some say its a Sea monster in Sweden too lol, nessie is a girl but this one in sweden is a boy i think hes name is Albino

  • i think its a pipe system.

it looks like the pipes at my dads navy base

  • hell who knows what it is it cant be the loch ness feller cause for one when you see other video clips of nessie it looks a grey color and the metal thing is rusty color some yall gotta be smarter then that to see it hell i would dive in that water to look around i would even try to see if there was a way to open the big metal thing to see what it is

  • I dont know what im looking for

  • Yea i find all these theories quite interesting, yet how you said that its just plain mud down there and there isn't much to eat, i like how chinaboi55 mentioned the salmon swims threw the loch.. which gives me a hint that the creature (if it is supposively real) diets on salmon and is carnivorous.

  • Well I watched the history channel on the Loch ness and the Nessie and tehy reported that during season large groups of salmon swims through the Loch so it throws off the food chain. I dont know im just putting my 2-cents.

  • thats y im afraid of being in the ocean or lakes or whatever..... its fucking dark and creepy and u cant see whats under you

  • there's no monster in here right?

  • That's correct. As you can see by the bottom composition it's all mud. If there was a monster it would have to come ashore to eat as there's nothing to eat down there. If it came ashore to eat it would have been seen and filmed by now and also there would be large areas of foliage on the shore stripped.

  • Ur a brave person! Aren't u scared at all? I mean, not because of the so-called monster, but you know, other dangerous creatures that actually exists? lol, sorry... XD

  • i think its a submarine

  • this is great... but you most know what it look likes... got an idea of the shape? is hard to tell from the video, is to dark.

    but incredible cool...

sorry for my english... maybe you can draw a pic of the shape??? no?

  • I thought this was going to be one of those videos where something scary pops up at the end. Glad to see it wasn't. And what is that? I'd have to say a sunken submarine that belonged to some fool tryin to find a monster at the bottom of the lake.

  • ya thats definately a submarine. but i wonder how it got into the lake and where in the lake it was found.

  • no its not a submarine.. its to narrow and weirdly shaped

  • it seems as though it is from a boat

  • You think the people that built it thought that one day it would be sitting on the bottom of Loch Ness and being viewed on Youtube.

  • you gotta wonder why they how they'ed be allowed to get a submarine into the loch, i mean come on, its big but it isnt the ocean

i dont know what it is but my guess is that its supposed to be hooked upto the shore somehow and it came loose and rolled down the shelf. what ever it is you should report it

  • hmm interesting video but gasp maybe the Loch Ness monster is really a robot and this is what did/does control it =O

  • That looks to me like some sort of submarine like "Ilovemyhorsenuttie" said. thats a really good discovery! have you shown anyone yet?

  • has he shown anyone yet... it is on youtube with over 65,000 veiws!!! lmao

  • lol...

  • i wish u had found that old sherlock holmes movie nessy that sunk into the lake while filming....it still hasnt been found.

  • you've got some nerve diving in that lake! how long is this thing?

  • Obviously isn't the monster...probably a discarded machine...

  • I believe this was part of the sub that sank in the making of a Sherlock Holmes fantasy movie.

  • Looks like this is an X-File to me, especially since 'aliens' have been mentioned. XD

  • sum kind of alien technology........RUN!!!

  • I was wondering when aliens were going to get mentioned. LOL

  • it looks like to me that it might be a old sub that was used years ago the kind that used to get towed behind a boat usually a 1 or 2 man sub usually air was pumped down to them through a hose.. notice the hatch at the top left of the screen at 8:55 it has hinges on it..and a broken port hole at 8:38

  • Maybe a tanker? with some kind of long tube maybe to hold something? at 2.40 3.03 6.14 5.45 5.53 6.33 and 6.49 and probably other parts too there is a hatch. Ya there is no way you would catch me in those murky waters!wow 8.47 and 9.04 are VERY interesting at 8.47 there is some kind or screen type device and even more interesting at 9.04 there is wiring and what looks to be a green light! Who knows?

  • well, not sure what it is but what ever it is it's been there for a long time. To me it looks like a battering ram made of metal

  • the guy who first saw nessie. acctually got a bad self asteem and admitted it was a fake on hes deathbed and gave all the money he had got on the photography to charity. i personally think all the sightings are bullshit ;P

  • wrong. Sightings have been ever since saint columbia was in the loch.

Probably a vessel someone used to look for nessie...maybe its passengers got "eaten alive" by a long, reptillian neck...

  • OMG!

    Its the beatles yellow submarine

    AMAZING!

  • just a thought it coulld actually be a mechanical device that was once used to fake a sighting of the lochness monster! judging by the aging this device is from a period of when there were many fake sightings reported!

  • That is not Nessie! How can any one think that this is nessie?!

  • If you read all of the other messages and the description you will have noticed there has never been a claim that it's Nessie. We've already discovered what it is too if you read the messages.

  • i think nessy is a fake....

observing that thing,i think that the machine is not ripped off or damage of any attack..

my opinion that the machine is nessy itself

  • The machine is a barge that was being used by one of the Universities in Scotland to study wave and wind dynamics. It was supposed to have been removed but they scuttled it instead. I just don't suppose the expected anyone to wander around with a Side Scan Sonar tow fish.

  • diving to the spot where there's monster is a very brave thing

  • wouldn't catch me going in there shudders to think about

  • I think someone left it there, while they were getting eaten by the nessie XDD

  • lol that is a sub marine how could u call it the monster of loch ness

  • kinda looks like an old pipe or some straight rod of some kind. No actual clue though. Thats just my opinion.

  • I think its a submarine.

  • Diving into the water will be an act of courage and a true test of bravery. Going to war in Iraq is peanuts compared to Loch Ness. Face to face with the creature? Ah... now that's something i'LL keep thinking about.

  • To the director...some Americans don't understand that Loch Ness is a place and not just a creature that may or may not be real. Pardon them...their reference to the name is limited!

  • Man theres no way i would dive into loch ness!

  • wow loch ness ist eine maschine

  • looks like a boiler tank

  • Looks like a discarded piece of test equipmen or power transformer. Looks like all the cables are cut. Maybe some sort of towed array... Do any locals know anything about it?

  • maybe..thats a underwatercable for intrenet or phone... !!

  • what does this have to do with the monster???

  • Nothing to do with the monster at all. If you read the text attached to the video you will see that it's something that I found and wanted to know what it was. At no time did I say there was a monster in the video. There is a nice looking eel in there.

  • it's about the loch, not the monster you idiot!

    learn...to...read!

  • LMAAAOOO!!!!that made my night.

  • thats kool!

  • in what minute is the monster? i kid i kid! love the quality of the image. seriously though did evry1 know that the monster is actually an elephant taking a bath!! serious. do a little research

  • i cant tell if its a boat or just a pile of stuff

  • It was built for some reason, I remember seeing a show where they found the same thing..I just cant remember the reason behind it.

  • WERE WAS THE MONSTER????

  • what the heck is that??? was it on the bottom of the lake??...thats weird!

  • a bit of it looks like the type of antenna found on some ship-stacks. Like the kind on some military vessels. Is it smaller than it looks?

  • did you actullay see nessie

  • it doesn't exist.

  • This monster exists! I swam with it in summer 1993 when I was in scotland! It is not dangerous but pretty ccol! It looks like a dinosaur!

  • That was my ex wife. I used to hire her out to scare the tourists in the Loch.

  • r u serious because it sounds like your lying

  • Lying that my ex wife was ugly enough to scare tourists? I don't think so (grin).

  • That was really good, you can tell by the orange brown what the floor was made from. I guess you don't wanna be kicking any of that up :o(

  • did you leave that thing down there? or did someone pull it up?

  • It's still there.

  • why didnt u pull it up?????

  • Not my job.

  • u r insane, did u scuba dive there?

    U are f***ing brave.

Im from scotland by the way.

  • scotland rules! im from the Murray clan

  • I wonder, the first minute, was that yours, the device? Looked like one of those URVs used for underwater research. And later on in the video, it looked like a ship mast of some sort. Were you looking at a wreck there in the Loch?

  • The whole video was shot by me on the same dive. The wreck is in the Loch and it's part of a wave dynamics experiment that the university should have moved but they must have scuttled it instead.

  • I know this wasn't your intent, but that's a very creepy, atmospheric video. Nice work.

  • why donrt we just drain the bitch

  • exatly what i thought

  • Man, Loch Ness is RIDICULOUSLY deep. 800 feet. Plus, it's like some odd miles big. Something is definately living there... Or someTHINGS.

  • There was a mini sub that could get to that depth easily and they found exactly what I found. Nothing but mud.

  • I saw a program where divers went down and found a plentiful supply of eels. There are also fish in there. I bet if they allowed fishing someone would hook a Nessie. That would be something to see!

  • Well you have only been to "Parts" doesn't mean there isnt food anywhere else.

  • I was diving from the Loch Ness Project boat and they have had a drop camera right to the bottom and been over most of it. They also had a mini sub that could go to the bottom and all they found was mud. It's a mud wilderness.

  • is nessie in this at all?

  • Nessie doesn't exist. There is no such thing as the Loch Ness Monster. There is nothing for it to eat down there. I've been to the bottom of parts of that Loch and there is nothing but mud.

  • lol u dont no that for sure. it could still exist or not. but it probably did exist in a certain time like the big foot or abomable snow man existed once but now in this time.

  • Nothing for it to eat down there. It's a mud wasteland.

  • it could act as a whale. and eat Microscopic bacteria and krill? oh well I'm only a stupid 16 year old. >.<

  • donyt say that child...

ok..now dude lets go n find the monster

  • so it might not exist today but used to exist maybe in prehystoric times

  • it looks as though it was built to be in the water,,

    strange....... i dont know????

  • the french word for it is debris

  • This structure could be an old wreck. There are many shipwrecks on the groud of loch ness, wich are not discovered until today.

  • It's the remains of a wind and wave dynamics experiment. There are not as many wrecks as people think.

  • stop your vid at 1:30 see the markings it belongs to the LOCHNESS PROJECT look at vid LOCH NESS MONSTER PART 3OF4 stop at 7:17 and later at 8:00 same markins

  • I did the dive from the Loch Ness project boat. When I left the area I gave them the tape to use in whatever way they wanted. They have already confirmed that it was an experiment from one of the universities.

  • Damn it's soooooooo dark! That's a major reason why Nessie can hide herself from us.

  • Looks like industrial hot water heater or boiler. I thought I saw some PVC pipe at minutes 2:30. Weird thing to find in a lake.

  • I had a good look at the PVC piping and it's actually electrical conduit. There are cable inside it.

  • I got nothing then. *shrugs*

  • look at your vid image on 1:30 do you see the markings on it the arm with sword it belongs to the deep sea reseachers look at the video of LOCH NESS MONSTER PART 3OF4 stop at 7:17 and then later at 8:00. when you look at 7:17 thers an adres on the side of the boot maybe you should contact them. i think its there temprature and curent measure device.

  • This Put Me To Sleep!!! You need to Add Some Commentary R Something man!! Its Toooooo Boring. Very nice Footage And Discovory...but silent and boring!

  • I don't give a shit if it's boring. I'm only asking what the structure is I'm not trying to entertain you. Hope you didn't bruise your forehead on the keyboard too much. (grin)

  • where ist nessie

    in which minute????

  • looks dark and creepy.

  • It is! (grin)

  • only 10% of the ocean has been explored there could still be some prehistoric creatures down there we don't know about makes you wonder don't it?

  • looks like ag spraying equipment. something nasty by thickness of metal and construction.

  • I've since found out it was a barge for testing wind and wave dynamics on the Loch.

  • No I mean how did you enjoy it, is it a good place to dive?

  • I enjoy diving anywhere. It's a nice place. I even went to 45 meters in the Loch and the vis was still good.

  • I heard it was terrible vis. Is there anything to see, except hunting for nessy??

  • It's not that bad as you can see by the video.

  • This is in loch ness? Vis looks good. How did you find it? Is it a good dive?

  • I found it with a twin beam side scan sonar tow fish.

  • I found it with side scan sonar and it's a good dive.

  • Steve you're getting quite a pro at this wreck finding game. Can't say what that is but it looks in good nick. How deep is that??
