the rover k-sreies engine is and allways will be a fornominal engine the only reason why ppl knock rovers n such is they say " oh the head gaskit"

the truth behind this is that the company that made the head gaskits for rover did not put them through the correct test of running them for 100,00 miles and thier for the gaskit goes wen it has high milage.

but the k series is till a imense engine in the right hands

Never heard of the word "fornominal". Is that phonetic for something? There was nothing wrong with the head gasket, it was poor engine design. The head gasket goes on 1.8 Land Rovers too, but that is also due to lack of cooling. Go and learn about engines and I will buy you a dictionary. You come over as uneducated or thick/lazy - whichever may apply.

Just to let you all know its got 1.8 k series engine on a rover 400 box. 130 bhp at the wheels. Top speed around 135 mph. standing 1/4 mile 15.61 secs
