  • What was amazing about Johnny is that his voice was just as great at his Final Concert as it was over forty years earlier: His entire range, all that emotion, and extraordinary phrasing. He was one of a kind.

  • noone but noone could do justice to the platters original but johnny he nails it square on

  • I just did not want people to forget, thanks for the comment.

  • To Mr. musicmaker1999, Johnny is one of the best of all time, however, you must hear the Platters version with Williams as lead vocal.

  • @38johnshea ~ Mrs. musicmaker1999 is my good friend June from the UK. She loves the version of this song by The Platters... she just likes Johnny's version even more. Tony Williams had one of the best voices in music, as did Johnny Maestro. I listen to both versions, and love them both.

  • Good Lord, that man could sing!!!

  • Glorious! My prayer is for you today. One year later, RIP. We miss you.

  • i have yet to hear a better version

  • Johnny Maestro is probably the only singer able to do justice to the original hit by Tony Williams (The Platters ~ #1 in 1956). Johnny sounds magnificent, as always.
