@BagoZonde Yes, the link is at the top of the page: just click "The Prizes" and you'll have a list of the three top games, including mine :) you'll see the tape inlay and the loading picture as well, so you can't get wrong. Thanks again for your nice comment!
I hate SEUCK games for real, but this one (like NINJA BLUEBERRIES) is REALLY GREAT! Animations are very well designed and idea + gfx are just brilliant :). It's proof that there could be made some interesting from SEUCK engine. So only thing I wish would be morph SEUCK to play in-game music. Regards~~~!

@BagoZonde Thank you very much :) you can also check out the final version of the game at the Vertical SEUCK Compo 2010 page; it features ingame music, some power ups and a loading screen :) I hope you like it!
Congratulations on winning the competition. :) Any news on what sort of features will be introduced in the release version? I'm looking forward to seeing what use the score / status bar might be put to.
@CommanderKrail Thanks :) Well, I'd like to reveal some details, but I will not :P Tongue in cheek until the game is officially released. Richard Bayliss is working hard on implementing all the features I wanted to add, and from what I've seen he's doing good. The only thing I can say is that there will be a bitmap logo in the title screen and two more tunes, plus two short jingles... We'll see, surely within the end of february!
Excellent game, though I did have to cheat my way through the last couple of levels (The rock-chipping dwarves I particularly found very hard). Nice to see all of the SEUCK graphics data used, without a spare sprite or char left over, and some real effort with the end sequence, animations, and story. I was also intrigued at the "bar meter" thing going on with the scoreboard. Are there perhaps to be some power-up spells added to this game after the competition?
@CommanderKrail Yes, I'd like to add some extra features related to the bars... I'm not a good programmer, so these features will only be added if my game wins the compo...
@NotturnoMilo In effetti, più che una porta è un bel cancello pesante... Un maghetto acciaccato come il protagonista non avrebbe la forza di sollevarlo :D se non con la magia...
Feels so familiar (in a good way) even though it's the first time I've seen it. Watching this brought games such as Druid, Sorcery and Merlin back to memory. I really like the outlook of this game. Lot's of nice sprite animations like in the previous game you did and a very nice tune in the end.
Early phases seem a little bit too easy. Puzzle elements or useable extra items/spells (as in Druid) would add to longevity imo.
@einokeino303 ...brown/yellow BG GFX at 6:30 remind me of Leaderboard Executive, Who Dares Wins and Spy Hunter and (castle) walls seem a bit like boulders from BD.
@einokeino303 It would be good to add these extra elements in the game; some more powerful magic would also help the player get rid of the dwarves in the fourth level :D
I know there are similarities with other games, but they were not intentional, I run CCS64 in full screen mode, so there was no chance to compare the pictures :D
Thank you, and also thanks to NotturnoMilo and CommanderKrail for playing the game and commenting the video!
@rainstorm1977 Similarities are mostly colour combinations and it's a positive thing imo to be reminded somehow of the good old days. Some enemies reminded me of Dogs of War where it was necessary to squeeze in between neverending bullets to shoot a rocket at guard tower.
I got to about 6:50 on third attempt (ghosts got me). I would do better if I would memorize it from that point forward and tried to play it slower. I was a bit surprised the gate at 6:20 killed me when I touched it.
@einokeino303 Yes, NotturnoMilo complained about the gate too :( it's made of sprites, and the only action that can occur after a positive sprite collision check in SEUCK is death (of the player, of the enemy or both - or simply, nothing for both)...
Another "surprise" can be the fact that the mountain's eyes remain on the screen after the redraw: it's a SEUCK issue too :(
Ok, I'll find it, there should be link directed to enhanced version. Great realise!!! Thanks a lot!
