hello, can you explain the connections you made? did you connect the HD-1 into the alesis control pad MIDI IN and then the Alesis Control PAD MIDI OUT into the PC? thanks, you play very well
1rst: You just had to put that sexy ass Taylor in the background huh?? Damn good guitar 2nd: You keep playing the way you do, you'll be replacing every single fucking cymbal and pad on that set up!!!! It's a electronic set!!! YOU DONT NEED TO PLAY THAT FUCKING HARD BRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
huh? I use Ableton Live but with any DAW you should be able to control your latency.
If you have to set your latency high to get a clean sound, you might want to check your soundcard drive (get ASIO for windows) or just get a better computer
I'm having problems doing this. I hooked the Hd-1 into the Nuendo with EZDRUMMER. Can't play two notes at a time. When hit the cymbals and the snare, plays one and then another in sequence, but not same time. Put also in the SONAR, helped in the latency (now 3ms, with edirol interface, very good), but still the same problem. Tried without the EZDRUMMER and the problem stills. Don't know what to do =/
ok, im looking for an electronic drum pad that can play single/multiple claps and some of the sounds made by danny cerry's electronics. can anyone help me out with what type of pad would be good for that stuff?
Someone please help me. I want to buy the HD-1, but i'm not sure about the sounds. Can i buy a differnt sound module/brain and connect it to the HD-1? If so, are there particular ones that are good but affordable? Please help and thankyou.
I really appriciate your videos. Check out V-drums forums if you want to change those ugly toms for some home made toms. I have a guide there how to do it. Real easy. Alias "Rewind".
great...i love this song and the way u r playing..people say too many bad things about hd-1 , but its a great kit.. you just have to know how to play it..
Cool. But I've played one, and it feels a bit light? I guess because there was no beater to feel bouncing.
Would be cool if you could upload another vid with the sound direct. But I mean, what you got here has made me want to get back to the shop, try and buy!

Sounds good my friend, but i would like the drum track a bit hotter-louder; Ableton Live latency is quite good even on an older machine---cool stuff

Can you hear me??
When you connect the BFD is not with latency?
Which program you use? Sonar, ProTools, etc??
Even more

It ... BUT DOES NOT RIGHT!
WITH COMPUTER I HAVE GOOD ... I'M USING ALL FOR ASIO. It always has latency!
UNTIL MORE

The latency isn't coming from your computer... What kind of interface do you have?
If you have a cheap interface or just the soundcard from your computer, it is to be expected you have latency...
Just look for a good interface (a firewire interface would be ideal)

Any thing midi that plays samples. You can interchange the samplings to what ever you want.

Indeed... How do you find the response of the HD-1?
I would like to get a 10, or 12 for the feel, but I don't think my apartment would allow for it.
So with the HD-1 do you find the kick drum to be a bit... non-responsive to BFD? Slow to kick?
JJRavinsky 3 years ago
nah its fine. the only delay comes from the latency of Live
