  • Geezer stay by his bedside until he died.

  • @danielgwenny

    So did Tony Iommi.

  • Probably the only truly honest person in metal.

    Thanks for sharing.

    RIP Ronnie

  • So bright and so talented. A wonderful human being. I'd give anything to have him back.

  • @hentajus Give us Ronnie James Dio, we'll give you the following "artists":

    (Sir) Lady Gaga

    Justin(e) Bieber

    R(etard)ihanna

  • @HannibalW8532 That's just to start.

  • smart musician..the world lost alot when he passed

  • what a great guy he was..

  • This is great thank you for posting Diopriest !! Your the man

  • Well you have to say Ronnie, you sure had a spine….! If it needed saying some times its best to just come out and say it. I think he was surrounded by Oxygen Thief’s, and well he knew it……..

  • :( Dio died the same day as my aunt....

  • @UnderTheRedHood - who's funeral did you attend?

  • @420yendal omg ha ha

  • Gosh 1994 was a tough year for metal. His frustration here is entirely justified. We miss you Ronnie!

  • @TomFallon

I can honestly say after 1994, music started to suck and it was all because of Kurt Cobain's suicide and people were dwelling on it.

  • It's good stuff.. Thanks for the post...!

  • Lmao everyone's making a big deal out of RJD swearing, but he's only human! He's been dealing with shitty equipment malfunctions for dozens of years and he's just fucking annoyed of the disruptions. I can't say I blame him. He regained composure though, so props to Dio \m/ \m/

  • Stop zooming out and zooming in over and over you fucktard!

  • Small man (in stature)- Larger than life (musically and vocally)!

  • @rrbrown813 excellent comment..

  • they dont make musicians like this anymore, who stand for what they bealive and feel, now theyll suck a fat cok for a tour bus, and groupies ,,,we love you dio !!

  • Ronnie cussed! I don't think I've ever seen, nor heard that happen before :o

  • i would have loved to spend just a few minutes in conversation with this man

  • DIO LIKED NAPALM DEATH. FUCK YES.

  • Ronnie was always a straight shooter,The fact is that there are a huge number of foul, and dishonest characters in that business!

  • me and my old lady say fuck all the time. dio's real here. ha ha! to me, "heaven an' hell" was his best, which was the first time i heard him. heard pretty well everything else he sang. and then again, i start thinkin' and gettin' fucked up here because i start disagreeing with myself. anyway, this guy is the mega-mouth of heavy metal.

  • dio was free and i see thats its me who s lost and never found i see him dancing in he lite

  • Hey DioPriest2! This interview is amazing! Very candid. Thank you.

  • this is great stuff!

  • this proves It ! Dio is Rhea Perlman dressed as a fella .Love ya Ronnie RIP

  • Ronnie speaks...you listen!

  • Ya gotta admire Dio's conviction and abiltiy to say what was on his mind. A true original. RIP, Ronnie...

  • @einaroneeye This, basically.

  • This vid just reinforces what a stand up guy RJD was.

He always took the time to give the interview, sign the item and generally make sure everyone walked away happy.

The music biz would be better off to emulate what RJD did throughout his career but unfortunately he was one in a million.

    \,,/

  • Strange Highways is one of my favorite Dio albums.

  • Thank you so much for reposting this interview. I was scared it was swipped off forever. Much appreciated and all the work you do. Thanks.

  • Ronnie listened to Napalm Death!

Imagine being in the room when that happened. It would be the most metal thing ever! \m/

  • Love Ronnie but I got to be honest. Black Sabbath is Black Sabbath with Ozzy. Dio is great with Dio and Heaven & Hell. But the name Black Sabbath belongs to Tony, Bill, Geezer & Ozzy.

    RIP Ronnie

  • @GrungeBouke

I agree with you, but i hate it when people completely discount dio's version of sabbath. it was cool too man. if you think of it as two different bands it's easier to appreciate his thing. c'mon, mob rules and heaven and hell were pretty neat, admit it. i feel it would have been great to have a beer, no, have Shots with Dio. and the devil you know was a great way to end his career on. cheers!

  • Dio was truly one the greatest men the earth shall ever see. I really can't even think of a bad word to say about the man.

Thank you Ronnie, thank you for giving us such good music. It was a privilege

  • It seems to me like to Dio,it was everyone elses fault why this or that didn't work out .

I've heard Dio is Very hard to work around because he was a perfectionist. In someways that's good,or bad.If I was in any musician/band leaders position,I wouldn't take things so seriously and I'd wanna have fun with it,and not let it go to my head like Dio.He treated music like a job more then something he loved to do.

  • @demmylowther and did it very dam awesome as well thanku

  • @demmylowther

I believe that the reason he was such a perfectionist is that he really loved the music, so he gave his heart and soul for that. I think he had fun when it was the right time to do it.

  • ...Great singer, Great Rock and Roller... But I wish I didn't watch this interview!!! RIP Ronnie James Dio...

  • Dio were always fucking awesome!!!

  • Great interview. very honest. Dio was king

  • @drummer1brt2gzs Hell yeah he was, still is.

  • Such a gracious host- obviously these interviewers are either nervous or inexperienced; Dio is going out of his way to help them out.

    The Gentleman.

  • @p4rkaboy

cheeseball brand of metal? You're joking right?

  • @DoctorWho1983

well obviously i'm a fan of Dio. I wrote a note about him. i meant "Cheeseball metal" in the best sense of the phrase. i mean, it's a little cheesy but that doesnt detract from its importance. :)

  • @p4rkaboy Cheesy ? Die

  • @p4rkaboy I feel Dio's Sabbath is better musically. I get blasted for holding this opinion all the time.

  • @Coltsin06 You get blasted because you are right.

  • @p4rkaboy I must disagree. Cheese ball is not what I think of when I consider Ronnie's lyrics. In the least. Brilliant words.

  • I didnt know Dio was allowed to cuss. He said fuck twice. I about shit my pants when i heard that.

  • @BigBoss1819 have you ever seen the video where he slams Vivian Campbell? he says fuck like 50 times haha

  • @BigBoss1819 i kno me too !!

  • @BigBoss1819 YA I found both surprising and kind of funny because Ronnie is somewhat renowned for "NOT" using profanity in his music and in ordinary speech

  • hail father

  • safety mode ?

  • I love you Dio . you're a true inspiration...

  • This interview is great! Thanks for putting it up!

    RIP Ronnie

  • awesome interview, hes got so much to say! Quite the chatterbox..hehe

RIP RJD we are gonna miss you!

  • A true American metal pioneer.........we will miss you, Master Dio !!

  • im gonna miss him so much

  • @firebird116 Me too

  • thank you for your contribution to metal. you will be remembered for ever and ever.

  • @p4rkaboy Dude, why do you think you got spammed? I didn't see anything wrong or offensive in your post. Your post is probably the best one here. Some people...

  • @shadamedaffas

ehh... you gotta take it with a grain of salt. long live RJD!

  • god bless this guy...

  • rip dio!

  • Very candid. Thanks for posting Diopriest, you rock \m/

  • Thanks Japiedio you too /,,/ /,,/

  • @Diopriest2 Man, Ronnie James Dio Can get pissed at times and i kinda like that because he is being honest about thngs. I am and always will be a Ronnie James Dio Fan for the rest of my life. Dio his the Sacred Holy Diver Heart. And cool video by the way. ps. I am listening to Strange Highways CD. Thank you very much for posting this.

  • Thanks very much for this and the other parts. Fantastic interview. I have never seen this before. Dio revolves around all the music I have listened to since 1985. Big Ritchie Blackmore fan - but this wouldnt be without Ronnie who I have seen live 6 times (With Dio and Black Sabbath). Again... Thanks!

  • 500-517-18- That could have changed the history of sabbath forever. Who knows what songs and albums we could have heard . Just take a listen to THe Devil You know album. I am pleased the split was not forever [ what is ?? ] .

RJD moves in circles -Magic every one of them . I don't think anything could split the best ever Sabbath line up apart for to long. Thanks for uploading , and sharing DIOPRIEST. /,,/ P.S Over the moon RJD is on the mend.

  • Cheers for the re-upload dude!!

  • Thanks for the re-post! Always loved this one. Very informative. \m/ \m/

    /,,/ /,,/

  • this is awesome!

  • Thanks for re- upload!

    This is awesome!

  • If Halford and Lemmy were sitting there with them this would have been even more epic than it already is. Glad Sabbath got back together. Get well soon, RonniE!!!!!
