What is the difference between Analyze, Discuss, and Evaluate? I got these words in my AP History hand out but my teacher confuses me because the wording is vague.
my tips are going off of the actual rubric used by AP Exam graders, so you may want your teacher to check that unless it has changed in the last 7 months
@XxBuckeyepridexX Do NOT simply restate the thesis. Especially for a DBQ you are going to want to have your thesis consist of the categories in which you assigned the documents into while mentioning something relating to the thesis. If your thesis is : "How did the global flow of silver between the 1500-1800s affect the economic, political, and cultural development of the world at the time?" Do not flip those around and call if fine and dandy. Categorize your documents then make a complex thesis
hey nice vid and song even though i dont know how the tips would help me now......lolz they probably will when im in high school ^_^ !! thnx!! lolz ;)

Don't restate the thesis--it is considered flipping the question. You need clear evidence in your thesis. Do try to use the majority of the docs.

"Never restate the provided documents"
This is wrong from what I know. In fact, quoting the documents (4-6 words max) is VERY useful in supporting your thesis, or proving bias.

My AP teacher told us to restate the question as our thesis and that we had to use at least 90%
