i find it both amusing and astounding when calzaghe opposition corner man give the instructions to their charges that calzaghe will get tired - it happens here at about 5:00. have they never watched him fight? say what ever you want about cherry picking and slap punching no one can deny that calzaghe had an incredible petrol tank. he never got tired. many an opponent made the mistake of either weathering an attack and falling way behind on points before realising or as here gas themselves out

i find it both amusing and astounding when calzaghe opposition corner man give the instructions to their charges that calzaghe will get tired - it happens here at about 5:00. have they never watched him fight? say what ever you want about cherry picking and slap punching no one can deny that calzaghe had an incredible petrol tank. he never got tired. many an opponent made the mistake of either weathering an attack and falling way behind on points before realising or as here gas themselves out

although i agree with alot of the comments below re joe's cherry picking i still think he was something special, great work rate, chin and endurance. he was protected to a degree but all the injuries didnt help eitther plus he fell inbetween to good eras of 168 - it would be great if he were fighting today vs ward, froch and bute. kessler is a good but not great win, the jones fight is now in perspective and the b-hop decision is a moot one. its a shame he took the safe money at home.

Btw also Calzaghe hardly ever sparred due to his injurys you say kessler lost 2 wks sparring , how many weeks you think Joe had lost ....

there is no way calzaghe even got close to kessler in the first 5 rounds of this fight. Not a fucking chance. Round 4 was 10-8 to kessler, 1,2,3 10-9.
