  • my filly weaned herself at 3 1/2 months old. She wanted nothing to do with mom, she liked my other mare Red much better.

  • That happens sometimes. My old mare kept stealing her grandson from his mother. I had to separate them or he would've starved to death, he was just a little guy.

  • Just because I posted him for sale at 3 months doesn't mean that he was weaned. I wanted to get him out there so that prospective buyers would see that he was available. Also, ask your vet about weaning at earlier ages, you may be surprised at his/her answer.

  • OK. no offense but, I was just wondering why a 3 month old colt is for sale. The minimum weening age is 6 months. PLZ comment me back about this. THANX
