@TheSprints2190 its a common mistake, anti material means they are useful for destroying things up to soft skinned vehicles, like transport trucks. maybe if the particular sniper is targeting an enemy base they will shoot fuel tanks and such, the engines of vehicles, whatever to give the enemy a hard time. it works perfectly fine for personnel too, but its really just overkill. rips whole limbs off and all. however barretts new xM107 is 25mm, and will be anti tank, 25mm is twice the size of .50

@Theghost11100 actually yes in times past snipers did that, now they use a bag if they arent in danger of being seen, you cant leave traces behind for the enemy to find, and on top of that the MREs you eat have stuff in them that make you hold all your food, so its not a big problem

50 cals aren't for any old mission, for normal sniper/ special ops missions , a supressed m21/ m40ae3 would be so much better, .50 cals are brought along if a vehicle showed up , because they are anti vehicle snipers.
