  • The trill is gone backing tracks ?

  • what scale u use @ I.00

  • wow amazing.

  • that goldtop at the back looks nice!

  • Can you just replace the original 57s with P-90s? I mean, would they fit without working on the body? Or could you just use the "new" P-94 (I don't know how they sound...)?

  • @iMaxico The guitar was original equipped with P-90 - the routings are different! PAFs will not fit

  • do you sell your guitars?

  • nice!, good control volume and great song this guitar its beatifull and great play

    congratilations.

  • How do you keep those p-90's from doing a bunch of humming(60 cycle)?

  • @gittahfiend They shouldn't hum unless you have like, neon lights or some weird electronic fields around the guitar. :)

  • @Nickpatient At a lot of bars that I've Played at,They DO have neon beer signs.P-90's Sound good but that hum is a DRAG!

  • where do you get the backing tracks ?

  • whats the price? is it sold?

  • Brilliant at 1:00. Where did you obtain the jazz influences there? :)

  • eargasm man........ beautiful sound beautiful guitar

  • Humbuckers are the greatest in most people's opinion but the true "Gibson" sound is through a P-90 as you have demonstrated once again.

  • beautiful playing

  • Wow i've never heard a 335 with P90's, sounds great!

  • How much for the custom teddy bear mic stand......chuckles. Love the P90 sound in a 335 body .........yaaaaaay!

  • The Thrill is gone

  • a very nice tone great playing as well

  • It's very good, Greg!:)

  • I need more money more money is what i need for these epic guitare. I fell in love right know.

  • @chickenwing601 you don´t need it; all you need is to listen to a Heritage 535; bettert sound, cheaper and better sound. did i mention that are cheaper?

  • Hi was ist denn der Unterschied zwischen einer 335 mit P90 und einer Casino ? Oder gibts die Casino nur von Epiphone ?

  • how much will this cost?

  • DYNAMICS!

  • sweeeeet

  • You are totally awesome dud!!! Need a drummer/percussionist?...

  • Did you swap out humbuckers or did the guitar come with those single coils?

  • super le nounours ;=))

  • Thrill is gone away baby...

  • Nice sound as always

I have a casino with this Gibson P90s and I love them !

  • this track is for w w w guitarba ckingtrack com. I have so too :D

  • I miss other rythmes and styles in your "demos". In the end your guitars tends to sound the same

  • @alvaritooooooooo I think it's great that the style is similar in all the demos. It allows you to compare the subtle differences in tone between guitars, not influenced by pedal, amps or volume or music style. Alot of the guitars will sound similar because they are similar guitars ie. guitars with a 24.75 scale and p90's will sound similar, guitars with 25.5 scale and single coils will sound similar... subtle differences yes, but similar sounds

  • Do you have some crunchier, up-tempo stuff with the 335?

  • Hey Greg I have a curiosity, all these guitars are yours?

  • @Dimasllex he sells them ;)

  • Tones like hot butter Aunt Jemima.... Sweet and smooth

    Keep it up G!

  • Nice axe.

  • p90's in a ES are awesome! I have a set in my Epiphone Sheraton 2. Love it!

  • dark eyed cajun woman (smiles)

  • nice git Fiddle

  • Gibson ES + P90's + blackface vibrolux = serious tone

  • I really enjoy your guitar collection. I tried some new es-335's in London some time ago and they sound like cardboard - It's good that at least some musicians out there can still afford the good stuff. I play a japanese 175 right now and dreaming of a Sadowsky semi.

  • Nice. Nice left hand touch. And P-90s! Ah! Never better. This is on my list now.

  • man, i wish i was the camera man because that was sick! Man, i got the chills all the way from my neck to my feet.

  • ive always wanted to have an ES but its soo expensive for a 14 year old teen..

  • what was that at 0:58-1:06?

  • @bigpooo i think it was a change from minor pentatonic to major, - im not entirely sure though : /

  • B.B. would be :-))))) PLEASED!, GREAT TONE, AND delivery, wonderful expressions too. You are loaded with guitars too :-)

  • You have some cool video's up here, and what guitar collection.

  • you think those pickups would be good for my les paul? :)

  • What volume is your amp on?

  • @joelbyrne bedroom level

  • @GregsGuitars definitely bedroom level, so quiet you can hear the panties droppin. haha.

  • Very SweeeeT

  • I could play the same guitar....it wouldnt sound anywhere that good. Perfect bends, great vibratro!

  • That was some of the best playing I've seen in awhile. I've just got done watching several videos too many of them was all about shredding. you weren't picking alot but you were saying alot. keep up the good work and put more videos up.

  • just........

    damn! WOW!

  • what kind of amp is that? did you ever think of tabing out what you played? its amazing

  • Amazing, Amazing! It's just big a pleasure to hear such a great musician like you. B.B must be proud ...

  • Wow excellent playing man very tasteful

  • beautiful playing !

  • kinda reminds me b.b. king. style, tone etc...yeah! go b.b. king! fantastic greg as always. great playing with feeling and the best tone. go BLUES.

  • The Thrill is still very much alive in every 335

  • Nice!

  • beautiful tone and feel. thanks for posting!

  • Love your sound, do you have any experians with à Hughes' and Ketnet 25 anniversary

  • No! The video ends!

  • I noticed all your vids you use very expensive guitars and amps i was wondering if you would know a good amp for me around 100 to 350 dollars for a nice blues/jazz style like yours if you know cheaper amps.

  • @MagnumProductions158 IMO a used fender tube amp is a good investment. Those are the types of amps you'll find yourself coming back to over and over again as you play, so it's worth the effort to find a good one now and learn to keep it in good shape. But I don't think you can something really satisfying for just $100...

  • bb king style.

  • can you acheive this kind of sound on a humnucker?

  • My Dream Guitar

  • You get Amazing tone form just about anything you play. Obviously your abilities have a lot to do with it but after that what makes the most difference to your tone? The Vibrolux, the Pickups or the whole guitar? Have you ever played Kinman Noiseless pickups?

  • love it love it loveit, what i would do for one of these

  • I could sell my house to get one of these - I could live in the hollow part of the guitar at night.

  • i have a question, does a gibson p-90 dogear pickup make the noisy "humming" sound when not playing or not?

  • great playing and beautiful sound!

  • does this guitar have a block of wood in the middle? or is it hollow like an epi casino?

  • @samguitarmurphy 335 = Block, 330 = Casino :) hollow...

    this is a 335 with p-90

  • Very nice guitar man ! This is the first time i see an ES335 with that kind of pickups, sounds amazing ! Congratz

  • Thrill is Gone!

  • Nice tone man! what kind of P-90's are you using?

  • WOW ....... perfect

  • Thanks for your response, Greg. And thanks for sharing your playing with us, I enjoy it very much. Best regards.

  • Hi Greg! Beatiful playing as usual. Your playing is always really dynamic, but I wonder how much the Okko helps to retain those dynamics, would you reccomend it over a Zendrive for example?

  • has your amp got stock speakers and tubes? what guage strings are you using ?

  • is the backing track bb king-thrill is gone

  • yes!

  • Wow i got the same pick! only the 335 left:P

  • Nice playing and nice guitar. Man P90s are the best sounding pickups around, well next to the Alnico V Staple Magnet pickup by Gibson circa 1954.

  • hell yeah man. great guitar playing.

  • need a little of sustain at some parts and that'll be terrific. nonetheless great demo man!

  • Are you using Dunlop 1.14 picks?

  • Dunlop Delrin 2.0

  • What the hell is wrong with the pickguard?

  • nothing....

  • You know, the body isn't flat. Right?

  • All your videos are great but something about this one really reached me today. Love your vibrato.

  • i would die happy if i knew i could play as good as this ! *****

  • really tasteful man, quality plaing and sublime tone.

    peace, happy new year..

  • what year is it?

  • I think, this was a 2007

  • Sounds like it's 1969 bro' - Albert King playing on my record player out the window...

  • wow, thats bb kings ghetto woman right? excellent playing my friend!! I was told P-90s had the old school bluesy sound, it's oficially confirmed! what do you think about the prs SE soapbar guitar? looking to get one.. cheers!!!

  • Thrill is gone is the title of the backing. prs SE soapbar guitar is a ok-guitar

  • thrill is gone right! thnx for the tip!

  • Wow beautiful playing and guitar. I'm in the market for a semi-hollow body Gibson, and i was wondering if you could help me out.

I've seen your ES-335 videos with the humbuckers and the P-90s, and i was wondering what you would say would be the better of those two for blues and hard rock?

Or maybe just compare the two as far as what they can do?

    Thank you very much!

  • The P-90 Modell is great for Blues, Jazz and R & B but not hard rock I think

  • Thank you. So for humbuckers, what's the main differences between 57 Classics and 498T & 490Rs?

  • 498T & 490Rs has more midrange

  • Thank you very much Greg. That helps a lot. I'm stuck between a Gibson ES 137 Classic, and a Gibson ES 335 (Dot or Satin).

However, I already own a Gibson Les Paul Studio, which has the same pickups as the 137.

  • Would the ES 137 Classic have a much different sound than the Les Paul Studio even if they have the same pickups?

  • there is another ltd run of 335 with p-90s now

  • I have 57 classics in both my les paul DC and my SG.The have less midrange than the 498T &490R but more of a vintage vibe.If you are playing more modern music stay with the 498T &490R.

  • salguod72, thank you very much. that helps a lot with my decision on what guitar will be my next one. However, i already have a Gibson Les Paul Studio with 498T & 490R pickups, and i was wondering if the Gibson ES 137 Classic with the same pickups will sound much different than the Studio?

  • Beautiful guitar and great playing

  • What kind of pick is in a gibson es 335

  • original stock Gibson

  • 1.03 and the next few secconds was very cool.

  • Lovely! A good semi-hollowbody loaded with a set of P-90s is a wonderful thing indeed!

  • ah, my favorite b b king song - the bitch is gone.

    prefer the johnny A tho.

    nice playing.

  • Geeze this guy has soooo many guitars. Maybe he'll decide to share one day ;)

  • greatest guitar on earth

  • Is it a hollow body like the 330 or Epi Casino?

  • no, it is like a 335 with a sustain block

  • Thanks Greg...

  • Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!

  • sweeeeet

  • The Thrill Has Not Gone Away From You Greg.

  • Sweet Greg! Like silk chocolate.

Hey, were do you get your backing tracks, or do you make em yourself?

    Thanks man.

  • The backing tracks are collected from the web within the years...

Sorry I don't know anymore from wich site. When I find a nice Track I'll store it on my computer and don't make a list wich track came from wich site... Too many tracks too many sites. Seach for "backing tracks" or "jam tracks" and you will find a lot

  • That tone is exactly what I'm going for with my ES335. I have an Epiphone copy. Will putting the p90s in give me a similar tone?

  • This is one of my favorite tones from all your clips, Greg. I love the smooth sounding P90's in a hollow body guitar!

  • The 335 in the hands of a great guitarist...what a combination!

  • Flippin' Nice man!

  • Nice rendition of Thrill is Gone. B.B. King would be proud. At any rate, the things I would do for that guitar... are unethical. lol.

  • Nice use of space and time, excellent.

  • This tone is unreal. Amazing. Thick and ballsy.

  • how do u afford all of those guitars

  • My Uncle is big in rice (Ben is his Name)

  • Now I see the resemblance!

  • i dont think he keeps em all cuz why would you even need that many guitars?? a guitar is a guitar i think he trades em in for money then goes and looks for other guitars

  • NEED is a subjective term. I have 15 guitars right now and use all of them for different reasons. No 2 guitars sound exactly alike. They are like people in that way.

  • how do you afford that!!! lol i could never imagine having 15 guitars if i had 15 guitars id be in heaven!!!!!!

  • Surely the most beautiful guitar ever made. Gorgeous playing.

  • i would kill for that tone

  • Sick tone man!

  • wait i always thought a 335 with p90s was a 330 and was just what epiphone casino was based on... or did u set this one up urself anyway sweet ass sound i love p90 natural loud dirty breakup and realy clear soft tones all in one!

  • I have a nice pair of P90's, looking for a body to put them in....

  • wow you are an amazing guitar player!!! you sound the same as BBKING are you going to the next namm show???

  • Thanks! Yes I think I will go to the next LA Namm

  • uu yeah!

  • The thrill is gone. I always thought this guitar sounded the best to my ears but you 57 Les Paul special is really special.

  • I think this is "I play the blues for you" from Albert King.

    P90's are delicious.

  • Love your tone and playing. Great toggling between neck and bridge PU's to create different voices for different sections. Thanks for sharing this.

  • Just purchased your CD "Blue in Red" off of itunes and its fucking awesome. Great songs, great playing, and hands down the best tones I have ever heard. My only question is: are all of the songs original?

Also, i have spoken to you about Okko pedals. Is there a distributer in Canada so that I can try before I buy?

  • Thanks a lot. 7 songs are written by me and 4 are my arrangements of titles I really lke ("Breezin'" , Way Back Home" and other).

I will give you a mail about he Okko . Gregor

  • MY GOD. It's like you like you fucking know me. You sound like me, pick like me, and have my favorite pickups on one of my favorite guitars.

  • My thrill is gone ! thanks for P-90

  • Nice microphone holder ;)

  • this was really great i enjoyed

  • P-90 pickups do have a very unique sound don't they and they seem to add character to any guitar you fit them to

  • Very nice!

  • the trill is gone!

  • yo maaan
