For a decade, Republican policies decimated the middle class in favor of the wealthy.
They let our infrastructure crumble while Wall Street ran wild with lack of regulation. They gave billions of dollars in tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires without paying for them, and now they want to drag us back to that exact same agenda.
The choice this midterm is clear: vote Democratic.
@HowTheWorldReallyIs Vote Democrat? There already is more Democratic seats in Office then Republican. And its our fault that we're 13.6 trillion dollars in debt. Not that I'm saying its all on the Democrats and vaguely Obama. I truely think we at LEAST need a fair balance of Dem and Rep. There is NOTHING clear about this midterm. Only thing that's clear...Too many Democrats. I can't believe your blaming all of what you just said on only Rep. Like I said, its not only one parties fault.
Sorry guys-Dino just comes off as slimy and out of touch...all negative and "blame everyone but me..", I guess that's why his teensy lead is evaporating as we speak.. Murray is not the best but WAY better than Don Dino......Republican Puppet...
As a former Dem. voter, I will vote for Rossi. Interesting comments about Rossi and perceived lack of direction and action. I was easily able to find information about what he wishes to do...a 30 second ad will hopefully encourage one to find out more. It takes some work to read about all the candidates views, and I agree more with Rossi than Murray.
Neither of the candidates are worth voting for this year, in my opinion. Patty hasn't done much for us in Washington anymore, she's only kept us on this snipe-hunt for the last parts of her term.
Dino recognizes what she's doing, so great. HOWEVER, I have no idea what he stands for. All he's been doing on TV and ad campaigns is bash Murray and say that he doesn't agree with her. What is he going to do? Until I know, let's keep Immobile Murray in office. At least we know what she's doing.
Ah yes, another election cycle in which the people must choose between a self-righteous liberal clerk and a corporate sleezeball seizing on honest conservative virtues... and when so much hangs in the balance.
Good grief... here's a shovel. Take me out of my misery already!
Dino is very good at bashing everyone else, but has YET to say what he will do differently! I'll start listening to you WHEN and IF you start talking about what you will do to change things ( and quit regurgitating the Party line) instead of continuing your negative and obstructionist prattle.
@SeattleRexx You obviously dont want change and have no trust in someone else for 18 years straight. Go head, be on Patty Murray side, what does she have to offer? What has she offered for the past 18 years?? People like you is whats wrong with this country. Give me a break.
@dannybex Um, good comeback? I'm not quite getting your insults sir. I can't seem to find anything spelled wrong in my reply...So I'm not that insulted at all actually. You must be an English teacher to really pick at something small. Couldn't stand living with you then..Damn.
Mr.Rossi is part of the problem. He wants to stand in the way of progress. I bet if he was in higher office he'd demand that we go back into Iraq. He appeals to the same people that voted for Bush and McCain. .Dipsh***
Senator Murray is a good woman who cares about all the people of her state and country. Rossi cares about his country club friends and wanna be's.
@stavrophotography and I suppose Senator Murray's top 2 donors (Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae) are not her country club friends? Then her supporters will say "but she helped pass wall street reform", unfortunately, both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are both loopholed from that legislation and are not held to it.
If I had my way we'd still have Governor Locke. Nevertheless, everyone in WA has no right to complain if they themselves voted for the current Senators/Governor
There is nothing in this ad. Just the same old false rhetoric from the Republican-Party at large: The deficit is the Democrats' fault, health care is costly, the stimulus didn't create any jobs. All of it factually wrong. And these are all recent things. It doesn't even begin to touch on Patty's long career even though it makes a big point of her 18-years in the Senate. The fact that she's had such a long career is because we love her here in Washington and we're gonna elect her once again :)
This a very good negative ad, because it comes across as positive and makes Dino Rossi look like a good guy. He is a good guy and I hope Washingtonians support him.
@JohnRhysMusician It makes Dino Rossi look like a good guy -- that's your endorsement? It makes him look like the total hypocrite that he is: complaining about Murray's negative ads while running one himself!
@dannybex He is making a policy contrast. You don't see her running ads touting her work or votes on Health Care Reform, Financial Regulatory reform, Stimulus, or TARP.
@JohnRhysMusician Yes she has. Just as one example, she runs an ad on how she saved a hospital in eastern washington -- a hospital ranked #1 in the country -- certainly both a health care and a stimulus issue. Rossi has yet to detail any specific plans of his own in his ads. Just the typical generic pandering of cutting taxes...something he knows nobody is against. But we'll have to agree to disagree.
@JohnRhysMusician Tell that to the hundreds of people who would've lost their jobs, not to mention the patients when their local hospital would've closed.
Anyway, it looks like Rossi's ads are working. Not.
In a poll released today: ""Murray is up 5 points; Rossi is down 4, a 9-point momentum swing to the Democrat. Murray has cut into Rossi's leads among men, voters under age 50, and independents, and has increased existing leads among women and older voters."
@blahblahthatscool212 1 point...oooh, I'm really worried. As mentioned earlier, this ad is so typical of the hypocrite Rossi. He offers no solutions, just bashes his opponent while whining about her negative ads. Murray is far from perfect, but definitely the lesser of two evils.
@dannybex Well i don't really care if your worried or not. This was more like a filling you in...Not that Patty Murray has offered anything for the past 18 years. I can't believe she brought all these Democrats from DC. Of course. Obama doesn't even know whats going on with our campaign. He just needs more Democrats in Office. At least Rossi has Washington STATE supporters. Funny thing.
@blahblahthatscool212 Rossi has accepted the MOST money from outside corporations than any other senatorial candidate this election (made possible by Citizens United). Don't get too pumped up on his Washington State supporters.
@HowTheWorldReallyIs No one can really back up either party's attacks. But everyone does know that Murray had Obama and Biden from DC cometo our state to help her vote. One thing about Washington State, Obama doesn't know what's going on here! We want State supporters! Don't bring ignorants from DC. I never got real pumped up about this election, deep in my head I know Murray is already going to win. We just don't want change here. AtLeast the West side. You sound like a smart individual though.
wake up ! this add is rite on the point...... Washington needs Dino and cant afford Cow Patty anymore. there are harder times ahead thanks to a bunch of liberal idots that think they can tax us back into a strong econmy......it doesnt work and has never worked ! I would rather have a person like Dino at the helm and leading the fight.
Patty Murray saw all the votes she needed to win from the top of the Space Needle.
Thank goodness for King County!

Mr. Rossi,
Where were you when President Bush grew government and created trillions of dollars in new debt?
I don't remember you ever complaining. In fact, weren't you a supporter of President Bush?
