The H-Man is one of the few true sci-fi classics to be brought to the US from Japan. This fan trailer is an excellant homage to it. I loved it. Keep up the good work.
``Look! It's GODZILLA!'' ``No it's a slime monster that resembles the blob.'' ``Still we should run , like it is Godzilla!'' ``Though it isn't.'' AHHH!!!!!!
@Backspace85all Hey idiot neither jackie chan or chris tucker we're born yet when this film came out . As It was I was 2yrs old myself, so I maybe wrong about jackie though. But i'm dfefinitely right about CT. If your now going to rate it right, save your juvenile snide remarks. we don't need or want them.
Deberían hacer la remake de esta película, así como se hizo una muy buena remake de Godzilla.
Personalmente me gusta o me asusta más The H man que The Blob. Tiene un argumento más elaborado, gansters, números musicales, FX terroríficos y hasta un mensaje ecológico.
Saw this in the " grand " theater on a saterday afternoon when i was a kid.....walked home down the middle of the street away from dark alleys and sewer covers......did'nt want Jelly ( Jello ) with my tinned fruit and custard on Sunday...they only " liquid " that was running anywere was brown and running down my leg ! ( Oh happy days when the " bougieman " was more dangerous that the nut case politicians we have today ! )
Oh yeah, I remember watching this on chiller theater as a kid and it scared the tar outta me! especially the part where they were on the ship and the H-Man got those sailors! Great sci-fi horror here.
I didn't see this in a theater, but rather on afternoon TV in the early '60s. There is a scene in this film involving some attractive "nightclub dancers" that was very impressive to me as an adolescent boy. I'm sure it's pretty tame now, but not then. I've been fond of this flick ever since, but you never see it on TV anymore.
Epic! Fantastic! I remember this movie from when I was a little boy.I can`t thank you enough. Consider this.. the time period inwhich this was made. A decade after World War Two. Only ONE nation on Earth suffered the large-scale havoc of nuclear attack-Japan. In an eerie way, I feel that some writer was using the God-given talent of the arts to warn us about where our unstrained lust for hyper techno-warfare may lead..Churchill it the dark light of perverted science. WAGE PEACE!
Ah hell the entire movie used to be on youtube now I can't find it. Yeah this was a great movie, was considered a Jap knock-off of The Blob but it was better in a lot of ways.
AT 1:01 into the video-the guy in the light grey suit looking down is none other that The Human Vapor himself, Yoshio Tsuchiya! He's always been one of my favorite actors.
Classic Media (Sony) is FINALLY gonna release the DVD of "The H-Man"/""Bijou To Ekitai-Ningen" ("Beauty And The Fluid-Men") later this summer. So, we finally get to see the (ahem!!) "R-Rated" Nightclub Dancer-Gets-Devoured scene in it's fullest (all we previously got was an expurgated version).
Dig. Subscribe to davidsytvid. He actually have the TRUE VERSION "preview posted" right now. Let me tell ya', it's lookin' good. Now, I've GOT to get that DVD. ^_^
According to VIDEOZONE/Phantom Of The Movies mag--this brother has been on the ball for 23 years, so pick up the latest issue--The H-MAN is part of a new Sony/Classic Media-Toho DELUX series, along with BATTLE IN OUTER SPACE, REBIRTH OF MOTHRA 3: KING GHIDORAH ATTACKS (took a long-ass while!!), and (FINALLY!!!) the original, uncut, widescreen and Stereo MOTHRA (1961). If they add commentary from Hiroshi Koizumi-sensei, then I'm there!! DIG!!

I like the old Japanese sci fi movies. They really tried their best to demonize the nuclear bomb.
