Give credit to XTC's original version and the man who wrote the song, Andy Patridge, lead singer of XTC. Do a search here on youtube and watch/listen to the XTC version. The opening verse is sung by a child - great impact. XTC is a band worth looking into for those of you who haven't yet.

It isn't "better" it just is. If you can't give credit to the person who actually wrote the song and brought it to the world, then obviously you don't know how to give credit when credit is due. At least Tricky did by paying tribute to it and making his version. You have no real appreciation for either - having a fist fight with your brother who preferred the other version proves it. No respect.

@jbugko The relationship between my (identical twin) brother and I is quite complicated and, although the pretext for fighting was a disagreement over which version of this song is better, I think that what really angered me (you'd have to ask him how he felt) was what his preference meant for our future relationship. It was some sort of aesthetic show-down and I was worried that he was PURPOSEFULLY rejecting our shared sense of musical radicalism for an outlook that I couldn't understand…
