  • I played the demo to this game so many times......

  • @rlnilson Same. Cracked out to the demo.

  • @rlnilson Why didn't you own it. WHY. YOU SHOULD HAVE OWNED IT. You SHOULD own it.

  • love this game

  • This many views but no top comment?

  • DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF YOU HAVE TO CARRY HUMAN PLUS MODE OVER THROUGH AC 1, AND PROJECT PHANTASMA FOR IT TO LOAD IT ON MASTER OF ARENA????!?!!

or can i just get human plus mode in the first game and then NOT have to buy project phantasma just to load it to master of arena? someone help me i'm planning to play link with this game, never played it, but want to know if i have to buy project phantasma in order to load human plus mode

  • that booster could give an epileptic kid a seizure

  • WOW! I had forgotten how graphically and dynamically impressive this game was! VERY impressive for a PS1 game indeed!

  • Memories....scary memories!

Nine Ball freaked me the fuck out when I was little! Falling into that seemingly endless hole only to get a warning that Nine Ball was coming to kill your ass was nerve racking!

  • human plus helps heh, ya fun mission, nineball can be a pain if u dont get him into that little corridor.

i jus went back and beat this game again on emulator. very fun and good game for its time.

  • Does Any one want to play armored core 4 (Xbox 360) Today?

  • armored core TOTALLY rocks, think it's one of the most under rated titles. The starting missions are kinda weak, but the game is awesome.

  • This game sure looks damn well polished for a PSX title.

  • Oh god, it took me HOURS to do this. Ah, the memories.

  • @Eukatheude That fucking platforming section made me cry so many times as a kid.

  • @Tordah26 That fucking platforming section made me cry so many times as an adolescent

  • @Eukatheude Lol, I actually replayed it recently and kept shouting "WHY WOULD YOU PUT PLATFORMING NOW?!"

  • I was playing this level not ten minutes ago...

Totally got my ass handed to me by Nineball, that sonuvabitch...

  • @tiakpark I had a light, speedy AC with the 500 round machine gun, rocket launcher and small missile pod. I guess its not that surprising that I lost.

  • @tiakpark You used the 28000c machine gun THAT late in the game? You also used a SMALL missile pod?

    You actually reached Nine Ball?!

  • @Tordah26 I know, I got mad skills!

Seriously though, I just went with AC performance and speed above everything else.

I recently played the hell out of Armored Core For Answer. Some of those Hard missions, man...

  • What was the mission where you had to clear out the mines in the nest, but had to fight really tough ravens and there was a creepy voice saying "Turn back, it's not too late" and can you show that animation if you died in that mission?

  • @IamVendetta95 It's THIS mission. Jeez!

  • @Tordah26 Then where's the animation?

  • @IamVendetta95 He didn't die? Ergo, no animation.

  • @Tordah26 I know that, but can't he show us the animation?

  • @IamVendetta95 It's not a big thing, I played a few days ago and I can describe it to you.

  • @Tordah26 Can you tell me then?

  • @IamVendetta95 Pitch black with a computer at the side of the screen with text scrolling down it. A CG portrait of a person (namely, you) spins on the screen. An red cross is placed on your head and the computer starts beeping. Then red letters flash on the screen which say "DEAD/ELIMINATE". The whole game then fades to black and you're back at the "From Software" introduction.

  • wow, thanks to this video I tested out that core part, and it made my mech lighter and allows me to get the weapons I want without becoming overweight

  • When I face Hustler One in this level, I always go down into the shaft to fight him head on. Even if you have PLUS, he still has a fairly good chance of killing you with that Grenade Launcher and his insane Pulse Rifle. Losvaize's Slug Gun can do the same thing as Hustler One's Pulse Rifle, has anyone else noticed?

To be honest I prefer the older Ravens than the ones in later games like Last Raven, becasue you don't know anything about them and they don't speak very much. Losvaize > Zinaida.

  • I always thought this game had the raddest sound effects.

  • Ever since this game was made, we have all been conditioned to fear Nineball. Rightly so.

  • This game kicks ass. I have my own sealed copy of AC. xD

  • It cracks me up that in all the Armored Core videos I've seen, the other players inevitably fell into using nearly the same exact weapons I myself favor. I can say though, the A.C. I typically use differs greatly in parts from what I see most people play.

My weapon line up though? Karasawa, Moonlight, large missile launcher, and grenade launcher; same as this guy is using here.

  • @HeurtoSkeurto Everyone uses Karasawa, EVERYONE has a moonlight, many use large missiles, and a fair few use grenade launchers. How does that 'differ greatly'?

  • What the hell's going on with the plot in this level?

  • @fireflocs

Your basically lured into the "Raven's Nest" To "Dispose" of some bombs.

But the briefing was fake, and Nine Ball lured you into a trap, and then you kill his "Brain"

  • When fighting the AC's at 1:20, I always fight them from the hallway door and destroy a few before actually entering the room.

Though, you and I seem to fight Nine-Ball in almost the same way. I retreat to the hallway I entered the room from, instead of staying next to the hole.

  • I love how the whole game isn't a fight against good or evil. It's a shade of grey and it's just business. Rare to see that in games.

  • i miss all of the AC games it my most fav game ever

  • thats the stealth unit

  • what is your left arm weapon

  • @TheBlueCinema if your talkin about the laser thing i belevie its call the Moonbeam and you can only get it in the frist AC game and its the best one out of the PS1 AC games

  • How to can walk can walk with Granade launger?

    Please send mail

  • @TheBlueCinema if i remember right (its been years since i played i was a teenager) you have to kill yourself by losen like 20,000 dollars or credits if you notice in the vid his radar is also a grid witch also happens when you die

  • @jeremyowens81 bisch du deutsch, dann erklär mir alles auf deutsch

  • @TheBlueCinema sorry there buddy but i can't read that

  • @jeremyowens81 sorry i cant speak englisch well, do you speak german?

  • @TheBlueCinema sorry i cant speak german but if your playing this game i would like to do my best to help you. do you have a friend that reads english?

  • @TheBlueCinema ok i can do greman, i'm going to use google

  • @jeremyowens81 Ich schickte eine E-Mail auf deinem YouTube-Konto s suchen Sie Pease lass es mich wissen Ich könnte es Ihnen gut zu lesen

  • Good to see that the bipedal-tank style of MT still hasn't changed after 13 entries...

  • I don't remember getting my health back for the giant vertical chamber...I was never able to beat this stage...awesome game though. I think your final fight changed depending on who you fought in the competition missions.

  • DUDE HOW DO YOU TRANSFER A SAVE FILE ?? i only know armored core 1 to armored core project phantasma but armored core master of arena i dont know please reply quickly

  • @nightmare1431 you just start a new game just like you did with the other one

  • OMFG This brings back memories!!!!!!!

  • God the Japanese voices suck ass :P

Can't think of a harder final mission in an AC game . Only the final Lost Field mission in AC2:AA comes anywhere near close.

All other AC final missions are pushovers.

  • i cant beat the ending with the Giant Robot..........is it the same ending with every stage?

  • the epic game that started it all!!!

    I love classic game!!!

  • Wow the graphics are epic, especially the booster lol

  • rofl! this is so easy with plus. It took my like 1 hour to do it without boost. This is just an awesome game

  • eww... another PLUS... am I the only one who has completed the game without PLUS?

  • @Jesper0311 I once completed it many, many years ago without PLUS or hidden weapons. I just hung back in the corridors and taunted Nineball out. He ate my grenade launcher for dinner.

  • @Jesper0311 Nope, I completed the game with no Plus or Overweight, check my video, I just uploaded.

  • @1AngelSolo

    Mad props, so did I.

Although, I did use a SUPERFINE grade Sazabi Rebuild

  • 1997

  • Greatest year in VG history.

  • Is it just me or the Japanese voices are a lot better than the ones in english.

  • what was that wrist blade shooting I never got that one :O

  • i just played this on my "ePSXe" emulator and

    "WHOOOSH", mech's shooting everywhere,

skidding across the ground, radical melee attacks, "KABOOSH" "KA-BLAMO" !!!

it was AWESOME. well until i failed a mission and got just about 5000 credits deducted from my account..

    (lucky i didnt save. *heh-heh*)

  • This game has come a long way

  • why do i remember Nineball being not that hard to kill in this game...

and when u destroy that computer, is that what causes "The Great Destruction"?

  • yah i never understood this mission first your sent in to destroy mines then you kill all the baddies and ure sent to a room and a big voice is all like blah blah resistance is futile or some crap confused the hell out of me..

  • Man! I used the same strategy to defeat Nineball.

I wish they could do a remake of this game...

  • what generator/ booster are you using?

  • how do you use your back weapon with out going on your knees in Armored core Last raven

  • You can't. You must must use either quad legs or tanks legs.

  • it's called Complete Physical

  • lol i beat this game like 5 times when i was a kid, but does any1 know the name of the song?

  • Oh I so prefer the voice of the computer/Nine-Ball in the english version. Intimidated the hell out of me.

  • I hear ya there, scared me shitless too...to the point where I probably took 45 minutes doing the mission the first time through cause he wouldn't stop talking.

  • It looks like if you use the Karasawa you could probably face Nine-Ball in a fair stand up fight. Doesn't look like he can survive very long under that weapons fire power. Just have to get him to fight you among those vertical columns that line the entrance at the bottom of the shafts.

  • Overweight Override, Human Plus, and my four favorite weapons: Karasawa, Moonlight, Grenade Launcher and Large Missile. Even the parts you have are ones I would choose, lol. Sure, it's a challenge w/o Human Plus and Weight Override, but this is pretty fun every once in a while too.

  • So obviously this guy is REPLAYING this mission. I did beat it using no Overweight and Human Plus. I did use the Karasawa wich deals a lot of damage. My AC grade is Excellent.

  • Human plus is for the weak.

  • i`m playing with the heavy weapon ones...big guns...and guess what i`m stuck on the 3rd lvl

  • Just a side note, anyone know where I can find the BGM to this level?

  • Dang, you made that look easy, especially the fight with Nine-Ball. Still, having two chain guns, the heavily armored legs, and the bazooka were always fun. :p

  • LMAO!! OLD STATUS BABY!! XD well played :P

  • This mission is so much easier when you have all upgrades of human plus.

  • for anyone wanting to play this just get epsxe if you can tfind it anyware else thats what i did and now i got all the old armored cores =P

  • All of the early Armored Core games are fantastic. I don't even need to play the newer ones to know that they're bad. The early games had perfect speed, tempo and controls, and the difficulty of the missions was also set extremely well. I wish I had the means to play these games right now... everything was so right.

  • Right on man. PSX AC > PS2/PS3 AC

  • Could Never Beat this game glad to see it what happens :D.

Still a fan of the franchise even now though even though it's way out of my league.

  • Sir you've inspired me; I've dusted off AC1 and started playing it again:)I'd rather AC4 have been like this rather than the the OMFG-fast-paced-Z.O.E-shit-storm-gameplay-thats-NOT-armored-core-so-I-can-appeal-to-the-x-box-360-casual-gamer it is now.

  • LOL this was the beggining and armored core already had the decent action, mind bogling stats of AC and the almost impossible missions and Besides Armored core is gettingcloser to reality since it uses physics and geometry!!!!

  • I remember that game very well, I loved playing it, I just wish I'd bought it when I had the chance cause seeing it now makes Me wanna play it all over again.

  • I could never get the weight limit bonus, how do you get that?

  • You have to beat the game 100%. If the numbers are red, don't care about them. You can still wear your heavy equipment.

  • So thats what i need to do to beat nineball get him a tight spot were i can see him

  • Human plus and overweight is for wimps. Yes, that is the Karasawa from AC1.

  • is that a rebel-type AC? the one where your mech has no weight limit can move around even while using that grenade launcher?... the radar type is kinda similar to those models...

  • What was your AC'S name and Pilot name?

  • This game is so much harder if you dont get the "PLUS" upgrades

  • I won the game, but i didnt know even the existence of those "plus" upgrades. How did you get it??

  • I tried getting a massive debt for the fun of it and got an upgrade, i was like "whoa", and looked it up.

  • wow, those graphics look pretty good for playstation 1

  • Is that the Karasawa? Never saw it from the first game, I started at AC2.

  • i never did beat the giant nine ballat the end. :(

  • that mission is much harder in the English version. because you have to do alot more climbing aka the part from 230 ish to 315 the climb takes MUCH longer in the English version. because when i beat it i had to use unlimited energy to boost to the top. i then jumped from the top and dropped... 2 minutes later i hit the bottom. also you have almost the same AC set up as me when i play(ed)

  • :) same here. the english took about an hour to get up there. same setup to. lol.

  • use a gen with a high out put and a booster with a lowish consumption and you can fly right up.

  • this brings back good memeories, my second eldest brother bought the game , and my eldest brother helped him on this mission, and he said his ac used too much energy with the karasawa

  • The first time i played this game was when i was i dunno 7 or 8 and boy this game was fun

  • I beat this level with only one gun. the 1000 bullet machine gun if I remember correctly. Actually, Nineball never really hit me at all really. I found that the hole was a very nice battlefield- I remember when he hit me I was all like "Dammit! He hit me!" and then he got dead. The second one made me angry I was all like "Double yoo Tee Eff" I think I skipped him..

  • Love the Japanese AC A.I. when saying:

    Main Systemo, Setomoto, Kidoshimas.

Translation: Main System, Engaging, Combat Mode.

  • Man... I was playing this game when I was 8... I Fucking loved it with all my heart. But that's weird, I never remembered having to beat Nineball twice... I thouhgt it was two different pilots...

or maybe the english one was different?

    I dunno.

I just remember the first time I beat it, we had both ran out of ammo... and I managed to get a lucky shot with ONE SMALL ROCKETS on him and finish him... I was... happy XD

  • The english one isn't different with the nine ball characters.

  • and,i wasn´t a human plus

  • this game rocks, its too hard to beat nineball,I can only beat the first nineball, the second left me with low armor and I must to ran away from him,and then,I completed the game. The best game in ps1 with metal gear solid 1

  • I... hated... this level. In hindsight, though, I should have gotten some better boosters (also, the last time I played this level, it was before I realized energy drain effected how fast my boosters recharged). I didn't want to, but this was the only level of the game I cheated on (savestates).

Ironically enough, Nineballs second form ended up killing himself with his own explosions. I still never *beat* the second Nineball in this game.

  • I remember when i was little i watch my older brother beat this mission with his 1000 round machine- dual missile quad AC... he ran away from nineball.

  • ACK im still stuck on this damn misson

bosters u have? i cant do nothing with the 1 i have now cuz the energy goes down quick

  • *sniffs* I used to like Armored Core... now all the new ones suck. Ehh I guess things change with time. Best game I ever played hands down, cheers to the Geezer Ravens!

  • Fuck you man! You probably suck being a Raven. I don't have this game but it's still awesome to see the original game. Armored Core rocks!

  • its in japanese mines in english

  • its like the hardest game to get in the world lol i searched for it for 6 years and finally got it for 5 bucks at a pawn shop

  • ahh the good oldays. this is the game that got me hooked on ac series. 9ball is cheap in this mission you have to fight him twice @_O

  • Is that Hustler One talking on the 2nd half of the mission?

  • is that the Karawasa it doesn't look like it

  • MoonLight has been a famous blde in the Armored Core series that they kept its name original in each game/series of each one.

  • u get moonlight in this game and transfer it to armored core 2 =D

    best game series ever!!

got hooked so badly with my friends in the past lol

  • how do you know? and whats the difference?

  • I think Ningah says that when the grenade launcher is equipped with the left hand, the left hand will hold the weapon when you use it.

  • I hated this level the most in the game because of how they designed the level, gah!

    Nice job though!

  • Repeat that -50000 six times, and everything is perfect.i myself got the meanest freaken AC ever.

with firing the grenade launcher while flying or walking, radar function always active,no over weight, firing light saber, stronger boosters, and lower energy consumption. That are all the six improvement you'll get. Repeat that -50000 six times!

  • google it.

  • Once you got below -50,000 the game resets back to the begining and you start again with everything you previously had but 0 credits.

First time you get an upgraded radar. its not a part you can equipt though you always have it active

  • Right well it doesnt matter if you complete or fail the missions but you loose more money if you fail missions.

When I do this on AC1 it takes about 3/4 missions to get below -50,000 credits.

  • In Armored Core 1 before you start proper missions you have to fight two MT's to become a Raven.

I dont know if you have to do this in Master of Arena as ive never played it.

  • Right.

On Armored Core 1 to get human plus upgrades you have to go below -50,000 credits, it doesnt matter when you do that.

To do the overweight thing, complete the game.

Both of these might be different in master of arena.

  • honestly I dont know about master of arena but in AC1:

Yes it does need to be -50,000 credits to get the first PLUS upgrade.

And by finish the game i mean... finish the story.

Like i said i dont know about master of arena.

When you go below -50,000 credits a FMV plays and then the game restarts from right after you become a raven.

There is no conformation of when you get the part but you may notice changes in the HUD like the radar

  • Read the reply i posted on the other comment of yours.

  • Well I never played Master of Arena but assuming the Human Plus criteria is the same, Just go into a mission, empty your weapons, and the get your self blown up, repairs and ammo resupply costs should build up and you will go into minus credits.

To pilot an overweight AC (on the first armored core at least, you need to finish the game)

  • Human PLUS lets you shoot back weapons (chain guns, grenade launcher etc) while walking. (go into -50,000 credits, watch the movie and then the game will start from the begining again but you will have gained a new ability, do this a few times to be able to fire back weapons while moving)

I cant comment on the rest because you havnt said what your having trouble with.

  • how do u use back unit weapons like chain guns out of the stationary position with bipeds like that?

  • Lotsa explosions in 1:20

  • `so faer you use the same weps in all your videos of final missions well thats ive seen 1&2

  • Same here. Unfortunately I can't play it with my PS3. =(

  • Best game of ALL TIME!!

  • I wonder what would happen if u destored all the floating mines. I love this mission oh and the weapons is because he's beaten the game then u can overweight. and the cannons without kneeling is a result of plus.

  • Remember this catchphrase? "System Engaged" or "Main System Engaging Combat Mode".

  • or the one we all learned real fast "defenses damaged, halting combat and returning to base"

  • Remember targetting errors?

  • ...OR "Danger, Danger, Danger!" ...OH DO I LOVE THIS GAME and all of its missions..

  • Oh god yeah, I remember the Danger Danger Danger thing, Scared the shit out of me when your not expecting it and youve got the volume right up. Plus it could be 5 MT's or something 100 times bigger than you, you just never could tell. (unless you got heads with detailed computers of course but I find that takes away some of the atmophear of the game)

  • hey DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET THE ARMORED CORE 1 SONGS FOR FREE CUZ IVE BEEN LOOKING AND LOOKING FOR THEM EVERYWHERE and limewire doesnt have them either -_- this game had such good music

  • easy.. search khinsider on google.. you'll be sure to find them, i did...

    XDD

  • where can i get this game at?

  • wheres nine-ball?

  • nine-ball is those red mt like things in the vertical areas and also the computer at the end (I think)

  • hmmmm.....maybe as every armored core theres different storyline and each with one following(exept formula front and 4)

  • I remember this ld game. The good old PS1. I still have that AC1. I still, even with AC4 (for the PS3) I still think AC1 was the hardest. The others are easier.

p.s. If you count, theres 12 armmored cores. So, why name the PS3 one armmored core 4? Seems silly to me.

  • yah it shouldev been armored core 12 LOL

  • well the only reason why they don't call it AC12 is because most of them were just expansions

  • Nice to see some old AC1 action. Being PLUS, I could fly up the 1st tower in one 'boost' without being hit. By waiting for nine ball and moving away at the right time I managed to waste him twice and end the level with less then 1000armor lost in a middle weight AC. I used the lightweight plasma back weapon mostly and the laser blade for the MT's.

Wish I could upload how I did that, I have no idea how to record it :(

  • ahhh i remember this i thought there were more missions afterward though cause i remember checking the mail and had gotten more missions but couldnt access them idk great fun though

  • i remember this level, umm hated the very tall section, where u had to fly from cube to cube and proceed towards the top, and in the end nineball kicked my ass, although i depended on hvy armament etc, u have my respect too ;D btw why was this like a japanese(or smthg like that) version?

  • unbelievable... this game is very good and somewhat legendary, i like AC1 havent got through the last level still..i have gone through AC2(was a bit easier, just need as insane as possible weapons in the last stage).
