where exactly was the camera hidden?:P This is Mumbai, and that too Andheri station, how could you have gotten away with a camera at what looks like 9 PM (peak hour)?
@mazeofdevils Had a small lens that went up my sleeve with a cord to the camera in my backpack. Generally avoided the cops and kept moving and didn't have any troubles.
VIKHROLI reppin!!! WUDDD UP lmao. jks. I miss my old "Bombay' Days. I remember being 7 years old and finding it so easy to get on these packed trains because i was so little.
How was your trip to mumbai? Its always fun to see people visit my homeland and experience these kind of things.
@conworldus May you cuntasshloe should stop visiting india related videos and stop commenting..You seem to be a paki bastard born to an american whore!
Dude i've lived in in Bombay for 6 years. Right when I saw "Andheri" at the beginning of the video, I was laughing my ass off. Thats probably the ghettoest of the ghettoest places in Bombay. A train ride during rush hour is an experience. Thank god I don't have to take the Main or Central line. The Harbour line isn't that bad.
Hey Harryfmk this is simply awesome capture.... seems ur companion had a head mounted cam.... I am proud of you that you successfully boarded the cramped train.... I am a Mumbaite and somehow I love it and really appreciate when people not used to such situations, do it....!!!!:D:D Enjoy....!!!!
And this isnt even rush hour! Try catching a train from Churchgate to Virar between 5 pm to 8 pm and shoot a video and report back here. Lets see if you can even get in..forget shooting the video
hahaahah..ohhh cool video..i am from mumbai..bt now, studying in uk..it reminded me, my college days, when i was used to travel like this !!! :))) hanging on door, around 30-40 minutes !! those are amazing memories !! love this city too much !! it's too much unique !!!
@brigittaglg With difficulty. You must press hard to be near the door by the time the train arrives, and if the station is busy you have to jump off before the train slows down. Thankfully the packed station of people will cusion your landing 'cos you'll slam into a bunch of them.
well thats the tricky part, you have to prepare your self atleast three or four station before your stop and then
you make your body squzing throug some people to the gate,by then you will find some fellow travelars who also has the same stopage.and you just follow the stream of people getting off and DO NOT CLASH with the people who are trying to get up.and there you are........... alive safe & healthy at your desired station. now get to the office, and work hard.
Now these rusty old coaches are no longer used. They are used only on SLOW lines. New MRVC rakes are used, though the crowd is still the same. ANd Mr. Firangi, Dont leap out of a Mumbai train, u might fall down.....
thats quite an effort... people pay money for this kind of adventure... we in bombay pay money as well... but 7Rs for a second class ride .. 70 for first class ride.. btw if someone is seeking more adventure ... trust me take 7rs ticket... you will have fun of your life...
andheri is a very large commercial centre in mumbai, frequency of trains is 1 for every 6 minutes.. even then there is lot of congestion . this is common in every city during rush hours, tokyo which claims its urban transport system as the best in the world also faces similar problem.,
yes, they are safer.. but can u justify comparing a extremely developed economy with a developing one .. also those trains in mumbai are not metro rail, they just EMU's , soon mumbai will be ready with metro rail.
did u ppl observe the title in da video ?? this was taken whn todays mumbai was bombay.. too old.... now da modern mumbai has gud transport facilities, very soon mumbai's ultra modern metro rail network wil b operational ..
yes, but today it is not. and this video was shot just over a year ago. for the record, this is still exactly what it is like today. reason? population. people need to stop having so many kids, everywhere in the world
I just called it Bombay when the terror attacks were on, because that's what it's called. It hasn't been Bombay since before the 50's - long earlier than electric trains and covert digital video was around. It's not meant to be making judgment, just showing how it is.
In all of the whole world? It seems unlikely that that is true, even less likely that you've seen every 'place' in the world, so I guess we'll just have to take your word for it.
In the meantime we could explore the definition of 'discipline' in terms of being diligent and honest rather than writing broad brush negative statements about places and people.
Agar Station: Andheri. Brilliant video Harry and Corey. There are so many things can be captured like this. Keep up the great work guys - more yaar more!!!
but we enjoy travelling with so many people and india is the 2nd largets in population so it has to be this way.....u know in 2008 indian railways made a profit of Rs 2500000000000 maximum in the world more than wall mart which was maximum earlier!!!!
because they dont need doors its indian railway's profit not mumbai locals profit dumd fello and also a train comes on the station every 3 minutes they dont need door
u cant survive the smell even if you can survive the crowd
