This video really showed the "hard sale" and determination of the young Vietnamese.They just won't take no for an answer when comes to a sale.Its a shame as this behaviour has put some tourists off visiting the country again.I met alot who had this problem.I found The thing to avoid was eye-contact,they normally leave you alone then.Nice video.

Makes me kinda sad that we, the Hmong in America spend money like it's nothing and our people back there bend over backwards for what little they have. I look around and I see new houses, plasma TVs, nice cars, and we're still not happy with it. I hope we never forget about them.

Evidemment, par rapport à tes vidéos à caractère commercial sur la baie de Halong ou les hôtels de Mui Ne, ou ton clip vidéo d'images du pays sur fond d'Aerosmith (on ne peut plus inapproprié et ringard)... Moi c'est ça qui me rebute... Chacun son truc comme on dit... Sapa n'a rien à voir avec tout ça ! Je n'ai rien à vendre moi, et je réagis avec mon coeur et l'intensité des émotions ressenties lors de mon voyage, qui ne se limite pas à Sapa.

They do not beg, they sell goods. Poverty exists in every country but for sure also there. I think that they live quietly in Vietnam and that they are well integrated in the country

vietnamese government has never treated them well, that's for sure. But just to clarify, these people at Sapa sell goods to people/tourist (i've been here). Alot of beggers in the big cities, but not in these mountain area.
