I am please to say we had a beautiful baby girl Havana born on the 12/11. She 3 days late and born on my mother in laws birthday, which we are found funny.

We took Havana round to Mother in laws' house uninvited when she was 2 weeks old. It was scary as we didnt know what was going to happen but we had father in law and sister in law there for support.

After that she had made sure she sees us every weekend, I think she is making up for lost time lol.

She now loves me too bit.

I have seen couples like you before but they are fairly rare where i live in London it is a fairly diverse area when i was yonger my generation didnt mix as much with Asian but i see that is changing and the youth today in London have a mixture of friends.

@Ms123Jen Oh thank you. Me & hubby met at work, we got to know each other as work mates and got along wickedly and had a great laugh then we started liking each other, DANGEROUS lol. We both had dated interracially but for hubby he knew he could only marry an indian girl for me it didnt matter.

I think our generation mix to "Play" but for the most part Asian families wouldnt accept their families marrying outsiders, however when the next generation marry it wont be as hard or taboo.

@BlissfullyEnchanted7 Indian and Pakistani cultures are notorious for wanting to keep things in the family or "ethnic" group, let alone a black person. Marrying cousins is very common for them. So I wouldn't be that surprised with some hostility!

Of course there are more and more modern people who don't care. Usually the wealthier families are more open.

@ojideagu No, Hindus dont marry cousins. Its forbidden to marry anyone even remotely related. In Islam it is allowed. And yes, we keep it in the "ethnic" group. At the most we might marry whites. My wife is white.

And it has nothing to do with being wealthy. Wealthier families are usually upper caste and have even more stringent rules.

@twesam sorry. the ugly truth is that indians, even the younger generation, can be rabidly racist and caste conscious. heck back home, even muslims , christian and sikhs [religions which allege to not have a caste system ] follow the cancerous caste system. sometimes exporting the disease to west, too.

in new york, where i live now, sikhs have separate gurudwaras [sikh temple ] for different sikh castes.

hopefully, someday all of us indians will evolve.

@twesam i was once in the same situation. my father wouldn't recognise me as his daughter if i married my then bf. we're from different nationality, different beliefs. to add the misery, an older sister of mine made the whole thing got more complicated by hiding a document i needed to register my marriage since i live in a foreign country. i can never thank God enough that everything finally went well, with lots of tears and surely a broken heart.
