so all these mentioned thingies work only with intel processors, or amd processors fine too?
this video is light years ahead.... it speaks as if plug-in cars have replaced gasoline cars... it should've said, take the gasoline out of your car and send it to the grid and burn it GG!
@danwat1234 AMD uses the x86 architecture in their processors too... i dont think the AMD Phenom CPUs would be gaming if they had A.R.M. inside.. well i believe the AMD Opteron is the main competitor to Intel Xeon
But i dont know how good AMD is in the server side, but on gaming... since the i5, AMD CPUs are very good value for what they offer
@ClTIZEN Intel is pushing for the future, along with other companies. Don't count em out yet, even the president thinks we should push for this smart grid.
@Dosshow The president probably thinks we should push for world peace as well, but we all know it won't happen. I'm not saying it would be a bad thing, I just think it is not in the interest of the companies who provide energy at the moment, and, who also control government, whether we like it or not. That aside, the capital needed to set up this kind of grid all over North America would be more than any corporation, or government could afford to invest in.
@kwvideo why not replace them with smart grid devices? It isn't like they are going to stop working during peak usage times, they'll just advise to not turn them on. Is it the annoyance factor you are against the possibility of?
what company are this processors from? did they mention the name in the video? I must have missed it.

This is a really good plan but try making the retards in the government and the dumb ass masses understand this new system.

@squallpi x86 architecture is x86 architecture... AMD could design them too??? Who knows, some equipment might have an A.R.M. processor in them

I think Intel is living in a dream world. I would not want to replace my devices with Intel smart grid devices.
