I saw this episode when it aired and it seemed like: A - Blitzer had never seen the show and B - he was completely unprepared, or both. It isnt shown here but when he gave "Defendant" "Jerusalem" and "Annotated" as an answer - the category for all of those was "E TIMES 3" and all the answers had the letter E three times in them, which Trebek told everyone beforehand. And then to answer "what is a crash" when the word crash was already in the clue, I'm guessing he had never seen an episode.
