  • BACK IN 1982 ...... WOW!!!! I NEVER WANTED TO LEAVE.; I REALLY MISSED MAMASAN.

  • MY FAMILY AND I LIVED AT 353D FRIENDSHIP DR. MANY YEARS AGO.

  • I use to remember this housing area or 800 series. They were called CC housing back in my day which was 1982-84. then later I was there again in 1989 -92 and then I moved up to north area housing . These were pretty cool housing.

  • the road widths were apparently wider than those of japan. looked more like the foreign lands. some houses may be empty. itll be required to do the toughest procedure in the world, if i try to rent one.

  • man, i know these houses, i live in Misawa, and these 800 houses are about to be demolished

  • I remembered this place. I was still little when I was still in Misawa. Everything is nice; clean air, clean streets, and beautiful environment. It kinda makes me want to be here again. I missed Misawa so much I haven't visited there for 17 years! I would like to live in those kinds of houses, but my family retired.

  • Hey, I know what you mean. I lived in Satellite Beach,Florida from 1969 to 1971 while my late father was stationed at Patrick AFB,Florida. I have visited the area twice since we left there in 1971. The first time was in the summer of 2000. The housing we lived in was still there but abandoned and dilapidated. I went there again this past August and our entire old street and all the houses are all gone. They too have been replaced by new homes or condos. As you said, quite sad!

  • thanks for the memories. Lived there with my parents 83-86. Used to live at 93-A which was located across the street from the youth center which was next to sollars elementary. I wonder if my old house is still there.

  • I lived here 88-90 (my parents divorced and we moved back to the states) This video has brought back so many memories! I remember our house was a 2-family and our house number was 855-B. Any idea if it's still there? I'd love to see it again. Thanks!

  • i moved there in july 2004

  • I was there in 85-86. Looks different- my memory is shot. Was part of the CADRE assignment for the 13th AMU, Electric Shop. Anyone out there from my time?

  • ags432, I was here in 85-86 also... On and OFF has changed a lot. But some things haven't changed. They still have those old houses right out the POL gate. They should be gone though due to the Japanese government buying out all the land near the flightline and moving everybody out.

  • Markee1969- were you on the flightline? Are you Mark S____ from the Panthers?

  • Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Is the Mokateki still there. I was in the dorms right in front of there and the bowling lanes.

  • yes, the mokateki is still there

  • I had a chicken wrap from the Mokuteki yesterday! ;~) Love that place!!

  • I just moved here on the 15th of Oct. I'm going to the high school over here and i'm wondering if its any good or not?

  • hey one question are those the houses that are by edgren high school?? please answer back thenks...GOOOO EAGLES!!

  • hey i used to live in misawa airbase till not to long ago maybe you can show were i used to live 157C main base next to the youth center and across from tower 118... i love it there it is boring but soooooooooo peacefull i miss it a bunch... thanx for puttin it on youtube bye!!

  • Sorry for the late reply, you mentioned you lived in 157-C right... well I might be able to get a short clip of it. And yes, Misawa might be a bit boring but its nice and peaceful which means a lot.

  • Wow, so much .. is still the same. I miss Misawa every day since the last foot I set in Japan in March of 2001.

  • Oh man, I used to live on that street from 1989 to 1999, way down by the bend. (In a building not appearing in this video!)

But something's bothering me (Besides the fact that this entire area is deserted.)

...Aren't you going the wrong way down this one-way street? ;)

  • The houses further down are all gone and have been rebuilt. This street used to be one way but now it is two ways.

  • Heh, I'd like to see what they did. Maybe they finally got rid of that old rotting tree stump we had in our back yard.

  • there is the 8oosss

  • this housing is all gone now got new housing up now you should post that....

  • It ain't all gone. About half is gone and the rest is just vacant which you can see in this movie.
