i couldnt watch thevid but i went their this saturday me and my friend jumped on of the gate and got in one of the cells freakin scary i swear their is ghosts their
@TopJimmyWinn They did. ESP was one of the first places to have both toilets and central heating (a radiator in each cel). At the time it was built, it was the most expensive building in the U.S.
i went there yesterday, i found it very interesting and would like to revisit it. the only thing i was disappointed by was that a lot of it is barred off to visitors. I wouldve liked to see the medical ward and the other cell blocks.
i just got back from the terror behind the walls thing really cool and scary i am oing to the day tour soon to see the escape routes and al capones celll!!!
My mother was killed at one of "it's" intersections. "Some" brilliant people designated one of the streets as a "drag strip". (I learned about this much later from a program on A & E. ) When her light turned green, she could not see this SPEEDING RACING car coming to the intersection of Front and Hunting Park Aves. Two were killed that night, my Mom and her friend who was driving. Broadsided. R.I.P.
Some crazy shit went on there for real tho...they did medical experiements involving live limb transplants, hallucinogenic drug trials, burn tests, injected prisoners with live cancer, & tuberculosis etc. and other Nazi like tests...Read Acres of skin or research holmesburg medical experiments
This is Eastern State prison. This place was screwed up but those experiments weren't done here they were done at Holmesburg. That place is now closed too.
@Whiterhin018 they didnt do that at eastern state they had the prisioners in solitary confinement which made them crazy and had hallucinations they didnt do any experiements as far as i know
Yeah, and make the land even more haunted? You tear it down and build houses and see if it doesn't become one of the most haunted places in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I'm proud that a historic building like that is in my area.
There's a closed mental hospital called, Central State Hospital here in Indiana which was once was called, Indiana Hospital for the Insane that is reported to be haunted. There's videos on Youtube.
yup, kinda like the concept of corporal punishment in the open. If you see whats going to happen to you you wont do it. the idea of a dark scary castle was for the sole purpose to impose fear...a great concept.
WOW! Thanks for posting this video! I live in Florida & I have always wanted to see go on the Eastern State Pent Tour, but this is probably the closest that I'll get. Again, thanks---great video!!
if they decide to tare it down, I would be there to protest to save it. that place is where i grew up back in 1995 my dad wuold take me there every day and we would explore that place for hours and find things all the time. its all i have left in rememberace of my childhood and my dad who died in the war.
