  • The end when it showed the memorial.. Brought tears to my eyes.

  • Is that the guy from Band of Brothers @ 4:29 , you know ,Buck Compton?

  • 5:28 I'll be such a jerk if I stole all those dogtags

  • very good movie i watched this like 10 times in a row xD

  • Clint Eastwood is the greatest director of our time, and he a great man, unlike Mel Gibson

  • 1:36 looks like the same clip as in Letters from Iwo Jima

  • Damn this movie is so touchy. Everyone has to face their own devil sometimes. Sad as F**K!

  • In regard to dasrever's comment up above. War is most definatly hell. I asked my brothers in arms while i was in combat why we each decided to join the army. My reason was because i wanted to follow my father's footsteps. Most of the men said they wanted to serve their country. Next to me, my real brother, replied "Because i want to die a glorious death for my country". He was the only one that never returned home. R.I.P. Connor M. Nagy

  • i cryed at the ending of the movie if you have time to read this comment then watch the movie is touching

  • how do you use movie maker to make this?

  • A lot of people during that time(WWII) that the famous picture of "old glory over Iwo" was the second flag raising and it was of no importance to the guys on Iwo it was just a replacement flag.

The photo of the second flag raising made it to the Photo producer thing before the pictures of the first flag and tthe guy loved the 2nd flag so he sent it all over before the first one

  • Watch letters form Iwo Jima

  • Letters From Iwo Jima is so fucking sad...

That explain,Some nazis are good...and explaining too they are not so aggresive and mad...

  • @1997vn

There was some briliant mins in the Nazi party who wanted good and to change to change the world in a positive way. Hilter, the man was a genius, just a little "mad"

It branded the whole party as crazy and hateful.

  • @xxxSasuke4evaxxx

    Minds*

  • If anyone has ever seen a real picture of Cor. Ira Hayes, the actor that portrayed him in the movie looks very much like him.

  • I think often about all the men and women who gave their life, gave up everything we take for granted such as family, love of a woman, kids and many more things. Take a good long breath every morning. This is the smell of freedom. Remember all those who everything that we could be here and now.

    RIP

  • not all wars are worth fighting for...

  • I agree with you.People like the Japs in the movie "Letters from Iwo Jima" didn't want to fight anymore cuz they lost hope and whole purpose of continuing fighting.

  • I do agree with you but your spelling is horrid.

  • War helps us stay alive cause it fights for the people to live so our country is safe..

  • @dasrever I do as well.

  • @dasrever

    Exactly

I always tried to put that into words

Some people are to immature to see the other side of anything and think they are always right which they usually are not and they act selfish and foolish

    Thanks

  • @dasrever I think war is the worst thing you can do it isn´t any better if you ¨Fight¨ for your country.

  • @meynard1 you cant hate war unless youve experienced it. i think i would show more respect for someone willing to give it all for you.

Yes, Iggy died in the movie and in real life on Iwo Jima. He was taken prisoner then tortured and killed. I'm sure there's somewhere online where you can read about it.

  • i saw iggy die in Letters from iwo jima. if u saw that movie u will c.

  • No addacdd, Iggy wasn't in Letter's from Iwo Jima.

Here's how I know, Iggy disappeared at night, but the soldier it showed being pulled into the tunnel and bayoneted was in the middle of the day.
