  • This is in Hmong?? hrmmm :/

  • I wish i was a hmong chinese

  • @HlubYaaNtuj it's sad, true but wat is more of a sorrow is that we will never unit again under a true HMOOB banner cause we kill each other nowadays. if we learn to love one another and see past our own hatred towards each other and look at the bigger picture then maybe, just maybe one day we will have a place of our own again.

  • I understand a little bit but not all lol...it's awesome thou.

  • i do not understand most of wat their saying lol but nice song.

  • It reminds our hHmong history in the last six centuries when Chinese Tang conquered our land now in Chengdu, Guangxi, Yunnan, etc. It's very sad to see our Hmong people being minorities and have a hardship life.

  • which dialect is this?

  • Suck it

  • i under stand it lol and im only O.e

  • 我喜歡這首歌。苗族人很不錯。

  • Y'know... I still think this is by far my favorite song performed by Cui Lian Li. Why isn't it featured in her recent albums? Is this not a song she wrote? I can see in the video she was younger then.

  • @hmonguru Hi Actually this song is in a recent that she put out. The DVD is called Hmoob Txuj Ci. it has this song, tub ntxhais hmoob, and some other songs. The DVD is not just her songs but has a collection of songs, and other things from the hmong in Guang xi china.

  • @tsimmeejLi

That's SUPER. I'll look for it, but I assume mail order by money order again, right? 你知道我在哪里能买到?

  • GOD DANG ALTHOUGH I DONT REALLY UNDERSTAND SOME OF THE WORD THEY WERE USING..IT STILL SOUND SUPERD... I FALLEN IN LOVE WITH THERE LANGUAGE HAHA ITS BETTER THAN the hmong language we using

  • @MoBLuBSiAb4LiFe

They speak Hmoob Dlaag, which means yellow. They are a branch related to Mong Leng dialect, but still within the Western branch that all Hmong/Mong in the West speak and understand.

  • Is there an instrumental

  • beautiful song

  • Hey! what a beautiful song :)

  • what other hmong color is there ?? i kno there white, green and yellow is that it ?

  • @hmng2009 not all hmong subgroups are based on color

  • beautiful song--i'm glad that they are able to come up with their own songs not like some hmong singer who kept copying other thai or lao song or copy each other songs too

  • @lucie2lucie

    Or copy Reba McIntyre.

  • wow beautiful

  • Cas kho siab ua luaj..........

  • Comment removed

  • omg although this sounds really beautiful

it reminds me of hmong kwv txhia

  • If you fluent in both green and white America Hmong then it's easier to understand what the girl is singing than the guy.

  • i can understand some but not clearly....damn

  • The song is coming out in a DVD this july 4th. Hmoob suav teb, hmoob txuj ci. the DVD will have this song along with "tub ntxhais Hmoob" and other songs made buy some of the hmoob in china

  • hey dude can you translate what their saying into english? Most of us youngsters cant even talk hmong as well as trying to understand hmong's in china...

  • @TheLosersuck Here is english first verse: All the Hmong people, Us Hmong live in the hills, live in the hills. climbing the hills there are 19 winds, going down the hills you've got to go 19 times. This is our hmong life in the hills. climbing the hills are very tall, going down the valleys are very long. but if we don't do it we don't have food, but doing it we loose our strength.

  • 2nd verse. All the hmong people, us hmoob live in the hills, live in the hills, at night the moonlight is our candle, in the morning mist covers our fields, our hmong life why is it like this? the moon shines, the moon shines on the hill, the mist covers the fields and we cant see what we are doing, all the hmong people.

The second half of the song is same as first half but the man and women switch parts

  • @tsimmeejLi hey thanks alot! Don't really know what part of the world you're from but lots of respect thank you....... This song is just so sad.... just listening to it.... Makes me wannt buy a passport and go visit the homeland......

  • Even I lived far away from China but my heart still with my lovely Hmong people in China .

  • Wow... I'm blown away... Beautiful...

  • makes me feel the depth in their ways of life. thax for sharing it.

  • this is nice....astonishing

  • wow this is amazing!!

  • Cylar29527,

Then cleary your research is very narrow and nearsighted. U even understand what was stated about Hmong/Miao history rooted in the academics? And incase you failed to research even on Youtube, here is the answer to your question on who would open their doors to you - Ling or Ayouduo? Watch this video titled "Paj Zaub Khab and Ayouduo".

See, believe or not given your bias. Lastly, unless one opens their mind to known facts (reality), it is pointless to point the ways. Ua tsaug.

  • Why are you arguing about Ling and Ayouduo? If one goes to china Ling will let them in her door and personally take them to meet Ayouduo. For thats what happend to Paj Zaub, if you look at the video "Paj Zaub Khab and Ayouduo" though ling isnt in the picture, they are taken at her home, paj zaub and mim yaj are wearing Lings Hmong clothes, then the pics with ayouduo on the far left there is lings brother and family friend who translated, and happen to be the people that write music for Ayouduo

  • @tsimmeejLi hey so you understand what they are saying? that's interesting..i can't really understand, but i think it's a great song..they sung it very well..and btw..if we visited china..would ling be willing to give us a tour? just wonderin.

  • this is SO BEAUTIFUL.......

  • i always be hearing yall argue bout who and who is hmong or not. you guys are so immature. always arguing bout the same crap. hmong is hmong thats final. stop judging people by either the way they speak, dress, or look. ayouduo and ling are both hmong. hmong is by far probably the most ancient asian race since we dont even know where we really are from. but the point is as long as we keep the hmong name going then we will have a place in history.

  • you aint hmong unless you say you hmong like these people. like none of that ayouduo shit.

  • Ayouduo is Hmong/Miao whether you want to believe it or not. That said, she and her Hmong/Miao are the Central (Eastern?) Hmong/Miao who arguably are the most influenced/assimilated w/Chinese thus their heavy accent. Ling and her Hmong/Miao people are Western - least influenced/assimilated - thus very similar to SE Asia/Western Hmong. You have to consider Hmong/Miao history and the 1000+ disapora before making narrow opinions/bias. We are all Hmong/Miao dispite our unique variants. Ua tsaug.

  • For once have you ever heard ayouduo saying that she is hmong? For political reasons, the chinese thought that it would be easier to group all miao into one category. Same thing with Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Spaniards. You don't hear a mexican saying that he is a Spaniard do you? If you go to china who is more than likely or more willing to open their door for you, Ling or Ayouduo. My opinions are not narrow minded and bias. I have done my research unlike you who believes only what he sees.

  • now this is the real hmong chinese. none of that ayouduo shit.

  • What! Ling is married and living in the US? Shocked but am happy for her.

And among the various Hmong groups there are "Yellow Hmong" too - Hmoob Dlaag - according to tsimmeejLi? So weird yet informative and interesting. Just goes to prove how diverse Hmong/Miao has come to be throughout the ages.

Also awesome that Guangxi has a "Hmoob Suav" TV network or at least according to the logo onscreen.

  • i agree that this sounds nearly close to the hmong in the U.S.A dialect i could understand everthing except for a few accent. great song i hope to hear more

  • is there a downlaod site to this song.. i love this song?

  • omg love this song.. i kinda understands it hhehehe!

  • Damn..she's married.. lol. She is pretty and talented!! Love the song!! So much meaning and emotions!!

  • 我很喜欢这首歌!声音都好听! I really like the song and the voices.

  • love the song.....its sooo nice...!

  • they sound very good l like this song every one is really at each corner of the world but we are all hmong..

  • The song sounds very nice. I've seen other Ling Lee's videos you posted, I thought Ling is Hmoob Dawb and from Guangxi. I thought that the Hmong in Guangxi are Hmoob Dawb. She speaks very good Hmoob Dawb although she is not compared to the guy. His is sttil Hmoob Leeg, like those of Yunnan.

Thanks for the information on the Hmoob Daj (Yellow Hmong) on the side of the video. It's something I learn today. Thanks!

  • Ling can speak the dialect that the song is sung in, but that does not mean she is Hmong daj, she can speak Hmoob dawb, hmoob leeg and hmoob daj. and yes she is from guang xi, she just went to this festival to perform

  • incredible.. please post more.

  • Very nice song, indeed. I hope to see more like this again.

  • Saw Ling at Sacramento New Years. Too bad Sacramento Hmong New Years didn't invite her to sing on stage. Sac New Years invited Ashley Thao and Maiv Xiong so many times to sing on stage, I had to tune them out.

  • this song is lovely.. any dumb fuck niggers who dislike this should just die off and go to hell. Love these people, they are my people.

  • Umm that was very immature of you to say that. Anyways this song is nice but their singing sounds flat a lot of the time... I love how they sing in Miao/Chinese/Hmong though. Zoo kawg! (:

  • LoL. I'm just replying to those who hated on this lovely song. hate it when ppls just come up here and say this song is fobby or gay...they think their all too Americanize and feel too high class for this..screw them tho. i love this song, pay much respect to it.

  • very nice song. what is her name? anyone know? i have a cousin who is married to a chinese hmong lady from paj tawg lag, china. they are residing in sacramento, ca. her hmong sounds just like these hmong chinese too.

  • Wow, this is interesting, there is Green Hmong, White Hmong and Yellow Hmong.

  • Nice song.

    Thanks so much.

  • wow i learn so much from youtube which is funny but yeah im hmong also....keep that hmong pride up...

  • nice.....hard to find good songs... it is very meaningful to our Hmong life.... most Hmong chinese songs are relate to life and culture...

  • it would be nice to see this song sing at hmong new year in usa. if it is, hopefully the two who sings it are good and don't ruin the song.

  • She is now married and currently living here in the US. I'm sure you'll get to see her sing this song live. She's planning on going to the Hmong MN I think, but I'm sure you'll get to see her oneday. I'm a good friend of her and she's very nice. She speaks very very good Hmoob Dawb.

    ~PKN Vwj

  • aw that sucks, i was hoping she would be in california. well i guess maybe she'll come to hmong new year in california some day and perform.

  • @crazyasiandude00 she did..came to sac..i like this song that she sings..ish way better than her other songs..i bought her cd at sac new year..but i didn't like it much..but hearing this song here..it's way better..
