My Mom and Dad grew up in Winnipeg's North End. I heard about the snow and Portage and Main and I haven't been in Winnipeg in years. Watching this video, makes me grateful my parents moved to California. No one seems to take pride in where they live and this place looks like it shoud be leveled.

My Mom and Dad grew up in Winnipeg's North End. I heard about the snow and Portage and Main and I haven't been in Winnipeg in years. Watching this video, makes me grateful my parents moved to California. No one seems to take pride in where they live and this place looks like it shoud be leveled.

It is sad. I lived in the north end for 30 years and have watched it decline yearly. The north end does still have some good people but the majority seem to not give a shit anymore. What more proof do you need? They have no money you say? Tough shit. Get an education, get a job and have pride not in your race but your community and maybe, just maybe you can turn what I used to call home back into something respectable.
