Hello, Can you reuse the yerba mate? meaning keep reffiling the cup with more hot water or is it like black tea one time steeping and you have to use new tea for more. Thank you.
Also I suggest to "Wash" the 1st three sevings which is to pour a serving let it brew for a min then spit out the the initial servings it's called washing or what the Argentines call which roughly transalates to "the servings of the retard cuz no one really likes those 1st few servings cuz of how bitter it can taste....also I suggest putting a half a teaspoon of sugar on top b4 each pour it's delicous that way
The music in the video is Eduardo Mateo. He is the founding father of modern day Uruguayan music. In Uruguay he is simply referred to as Mateo. Uruguayans drink more yerba mate per person than any others; 22 pounds per person each year. My Uruguayan and Argentinian friends and extended mate community contributed heavily to this videos technique fundamentals, and at Ma-Tea.com one can read all the little tips, variations, and hints that have developed over the centuries. Bombilla it up!
Dude, I'm Argentine. Your video is very cool, but "yerba mate" refers to the actual leaves you put into the gourd. The title should be "How to Prepare a Traditional Mate" Otherwise, it seems you're explaining how to plant, harvest and grind the yerba mate plant.
@LuchoGng Thanks for the info. We realize it's not perfectly translated, but keep in mind that in English the word "mate" means something totally different, so it's useful to say "yerba mate" for English speakers.
sounds like sheldon off big bang lol
