Let's see... POST took about 5 seconds... then it took about another 25 seconds for it to get to Log-on. Not blazing fast, but still better than every Vista system I've seen first-hand.

Also, people that don't understand that each and every OS is good for certain things, and not so good for others; need a serious reality check and maybe should graduate middle school before they lecture people. This means @LostSubscriber, of course.

The only thing that can post even close to that fast is Chromium. POST alone takes roughly 5 seconds, then seeking to master boot record takes another second... How about you just learn technology.

They are completely different operating systems, they run completely different kernels. That's like saying Android OS can be run on computer hardware... Just because it's based on Unix doesn't mean it's the same. If that was the case, OSX would be called Ubuntu. Ubuntu would be Slackware. Slackware would be Mandrake.

All operating systems have their advantages and disadvantages, that's what people who take sides fail to understand. You really need to understand, just because someone is based on unix dosn't mean it is unix, it just has a unix core. Like OSX for example, it might be based on unix but it's so mutilated it's not really unix anymore.

Yes that's fast but my xp starts quicker and I've done nothing to make it start faster, I don't have to sign in on start-up either, all my files are sign protected once in........

Get Windows 7 it is awesome with starting, but Aero was fucked up in 2 days XD

I installed IE7 by accident, and EVERYTHING failed lol, still haven't reinstalled, but it does work, but when you click on something, EVERYTHING will open in a new window, resulting that I have like 20 screens open when I browse to something in Program Files XDXD
