If they had more clean vocals and they'd be so much better. If you don't have unbelievably awesome guitar then just forget the screaming vocals. TDWP totally pulls it off because they're guitar is really good. Same with DGD and Parkway Drive. It's just boring if the guitar is eh and all you do is scream. That's my opinion though.

They use a lot of odd chords and weird phrasing at :33 it's in a 6/8 time signature but the way they play it makes you expect it to be in 4/4 and it throws you off. It's badass so fuck you.

You are correct about the guitar work, though. Such lovely chords, phrasing etc.

However, you are wrong about Parkway Drive and The Devil Wears Prada having boring guitar work. Parkway Drives' chord progressions - sure, for the most part, boring. But the leads are exceptional (refer to Horizons and Killing With a Smile). The Devil Wears Pradas' last two records are insane.
