  • aw man! bring me back. Nothing like christmas in NYC

  • @redsuxh8r Thats right.... I'm glad I video taped this back 30 yrs ago. I can't believe how the time goes by so fast. Nothing like Christmas in NYC

  • @redsuxh8r hell yeah. Yule log... parades... those Christmas messages from the management of channel 9. Even the leadup to the holiday season w/ Kong and Godzilla on the Thanksgiving week. Best ever.

  • Merry Christmas, New Yorkers! Let's hope we Washingtonians are treated to such comedy goodness next year!

  • cant believe ch11 still airs this to this very day wow

  • @retroguy1976 I can....WPIX respects its history, unlike the two former indy stations owned by FOX.

  • WPIX used to also show MARCH OF THE WOODEN SOLDIERS every Thanksgiving day.

  • Jackie was the real name of the first Leo The MGM

    Roaring Lion logo.

  • That is not the original opening title credits..

those are one of the reissue titles from

    Federal Films Inc.

  • I dont know anything about the opening credits of the movie. I was mainly posting the opening of the movie with the "holiday special" music from channel 11 in nyc as it was aired on Christmas day in 1985.

  • i didn't notice until now that the opening here was different. rare indeed. the dvd release has the opening that has been shown on wpix for the last few years. i checked them yesterday. great post.

  • I remember that film. WPIX-TV is still showing it every year. This intro was a syndicated print in black & white. MGM uses the real opening titles, except they used the Jackie logo with NRA tag. WPIX still uses the same intro along with the current MGM Leo logo shown plastering over the Jackie logo.

  • classic!
