A few weeks ago? The most recent "massacre" I can find done by US troops is in 2010. The soldier killed 3 civilians. And yes, it was a mistake. The government does not purposely send soldiers out to murder innocent people. The soldier knew he had a problem and admitted it so he could be punished accordingly.

The movie was a bunch of lies. The civilians who died were killed accidentally, the Marines were exonerated of any crimes. They did not knowingly or intentionally kill civilians. They thought they were firing at the insurgents who were ambushing them and had killed their fellow Marines. Think the Marines were so bad? The fact it, this is violating LOAC (laws of armed conflict). Emotions play high, and i am sure many of those Marines were shooting with emotion from the death of their comrade. But that is where the commanders in charge need to take responsibility of their men.
