  • what episode is the bit where jack says "thats my girl" from plz

  • I love Jack and Gwen's relationship. But i still can't forgive her betrayal.

I always thought she loves him more... I tell about 'Immortal sins'.

    Great vid, btw.

  • @Lovebug8779 @TheeOriginalEpicFail Oh, I wasn't trying to argue - just a civilized debate! I'm pretty sure I've seen a fic about that.. but I don't multiship. I'm a ride-it-or-die, support my OTP to the ends of the earth kind of gal. Mutli-shipping is just not possible for me - especially when I have a pairing (Jack/Ianto) that squeezes my heart like they do. COE completely destroyed me. Torchwood isn't Torchwood without our teaboy.

  • @ltbrooks I can relate, to your pain over Ianto's death, a similar thing happened to another couple I like and I have not gotten over it and probably never will. I ship Jack/Gwen but, I personally saw no need to get rid of Ianto or the other members of the team. I agree that the show is not the same, but I still hope there is another season.

  • @Lovebug8779 Yeah, that's how I feel - the "won't ever be able to get over it" way. I will go down with my ship! :) I just felt like Ianto's death was completely unnecessary (as well as Owen and Tosh), and 4 was just so different and missing all the charm of the first three series. Miracle Day only had a few good moments for me, so if a fifth series if like MD, I'd rather just watch 1-3 on loop. I still feel like my heart had been ripped out and stomped on after Day Four. brb forever sobbing

  • I love the friendship between Jack and Gwen - it's so close and intense and just beautiful. Best friends, brother and sister, whatever you want to call it. As far as romance goes, I love Gwen and Rhys's relationship - and Jack and Ianto will always hold the biggest spot in my heart. But you can love a person and not be IN love with them, and that's how I see the relationship with Jack and Gwen (so do Eve and John, as a matter of fact.)

  • @ltbrooks Jack and Gwen clearly have feelings for each other that is more than just friendship. The whole "Something Borrowed" episode alluded to that. If Jack just saw Gwen as a friend, why would he care at all that she was marrying Rhys? Jack and Gwen may not be destined to be together, still their relationship has not been 100% platonic. One can like a pair without minimizing the significance of another. I ship Jack/Gwen but I was upset when they killed Ianto.

  • @Lovebug8779 I wasn't posting to argue with anyone. I didn't say their relationship was platonic, either - I think it initially started out as attraction (predominantly sexual - I read a quote from John to the effect of "Jack is attracted to Gwen, but with Ianto it's much, much more") but things obviously changed around Something Borrowed. Jack's relationship with Ianto started developing more and he let Gwen go. From then on they've pretty much been in the BFF territory. Relationships change &

  • @ltbrooks Saying that Jack/Gwen's relationship has changed is one thing, but to negate what was shown onscreen is another. I wasn't trying to argue either, I just love the Jack/Gwen dynamic and I want to portray it as accurately as possible.

  • @Lovebug8779 I wasn't negating what was shown onscreen. My last comment illustrates that. They have a great dynamic as friends (Eve had a great quote about it being something "the best of friends, brother and sister, and an old married couple"), and thankfully the show moved away from a contrived attraction between them, since they both had partners they worked much better with and were in love with. People can love each other without being IN love, much like Jack and Gwen.

  • @ltbrooks Because I appreciated Jack and Ianto even though they weren't my favorite couple.

  • @Lovebug8779 I honestly don't feel like Gwen and Jack ever had "love" type feelings. There are different levels to love, lust, and so much other grey area. But their relationship has definitely changed from the initial (and, in my opinion, forced) inklings of attraction in the first series and a half. That much is clear through the show, books, and radio plays. Again, this is my opinion. :) I never said Gwen and Jack didn't have close relationship, though. I love what it's become.

  • @ltbrooks You are more than entitled to your opinion. I have nothing against Jack/Ianto. I just try to go by what I see onscreen. "Something Borrowed" showed that they were more than brother and sister and that there were more feelings involved between Jack/Gwen than merely lust. Obviously their relationship has evolved as is natural for all relationships, some people grow together, others grow apart and some relationships change.

  • @Lovebug8779 I didn't say they were never attracted to each other. :) I go by what I see onscreen as well, and I never felt a "One Love" dynamic from them. They'd kill each other if they were in a relationship. I see Something Borrowed as a turning point for "oh, we maybe sort of could have had something but chose and love Rhys" & things developed beautifully with Ianto. Gwen & Jack are definitely at a place now that is a comfortable, close friendship, but no more. Like you said, things evolve.

  • @ltbrooks I never said they were destined to be together, but they still had genuine feelings for each other. I guess we a have a different understanding of love. A person can love more than one person, so I don't see why loving Ianto means Jack can't love or have feelings for Gwen. And who says their relationship won't change again in the future? I am willing to take a wait and see approach. Ultimately, being who he is, I don't see Jack ending up happily ever after with anyone.

  • @Lovebug8779 I know that a person can love more than one person, but there are also different levels of love. And I never felt that Jack OR Gwen had *that* kind of love for each other. Barrowman said something to the effect of "he's attracted to Gwen, but with Ianto it's much, much deeper". And Gwen's top priority now is her family. Personally, I don't see Jack getting involved with anyone on any kind of real emotional level after COE. He's so broken now. Jack didn’t have to go and talk to his

  • @Lovebug8779 former lover about Ianto, but he did. He brought it up, he talked about it, and Jack.. doesn’t do that. Ever. Ianto is clearly special. And after what happens in House of the Dead, I think that was it for Jack. He's not going to bounce back.

  • @ltbrooks I'm not comparing Jack/Ianto to Jack/Gwen, I like both pairings for different reasons. I prefer Jack/Gwen, but I never had an issue with Jack/Ianto. As for Jack/Gwen, I am willing to wait and see what happens in the future, life is full of unexpected turns and that is what makes it fun. Regardless, of how the show ends, I love John Barrowman and Eve Myles' chemistry. They obviously enjoy working together.

  • @Lovebug8779 Yes, the whole cast of Torchwood is great together - and John is so charismatic that he'd probably have chemistry acting opposite a pair of socks! Personally, if there IS another season - which I doubt, honestly - I can't wait to see Gwen and Rhys's family. Anwen is adorable, Gwen is fiercely devoted to them, and there was some definite foreshadowing in one of the episodes in MD with the blackout that makes it seem like another baby could be on the way. Personally, I feel like

  • @Lovebug8779 the show ended for me after COE Day 5, though. Jack left earth since he was too grief-stricken to stay and there wasn't really anything keeping him there, Ianto was very unfairly taken from us, and Gwen and Rhys were left to start a family. It would have been a brilliant, bittersweet end to the real Torchwood.

  • @ltbrooks @Lovebug8779 I have and idea, Instead of a big arguement over Jack/Ianto Jack/Gwen , maybe they could have a three-some....

lol, I'm kidding, I ship both.

  • I love this. Great work. Those two have one hell of a friendship :)

  • Love this!! added to favourites

  • The only moments of Mircale Day worth watching again.

  • I love it!

  • The song is nice, wt song is that?

  • Very nice. Hopefully we'll get another season.

  • THIS is how I prefer to remember this season...and the entirety of Episode 7. <3

    Thanks so much for posting.

  • GOD BLESS THIS VIDEO.

I am so glad someone still ships them on youtube. And I agree, I dont necessarily ship them romantically I just adore their friendship! Theres no denying that they love each other as best friends. <3
