  • soooo... when we pick up a lot of paper, and paper has no height, it's magic that thickens it?

  • This reminds me of a similar concept that has been around for a while which is a 3D Fabricator that makes the item in a chamber that looks kind of like a microwave oven from a 3D computer program. So you can make cool stuff that sits on your desk. ;>

  • solidworks is one of the most used programs for 3D printers. You can use AutoCAD or any 3d program such as 3ds max blender maya and so on.

  • I originally thought this was a joke or scam. the more I look into it, the more I'm believing it. Will wonders ever cease? All I can say is WOW, What Next ?

  • this guy over act...hehehehe...he is a kid with some serious mental issue...he really dont know wat is he talkin abt...lolz

  • this guy over act...hehehehe...he is a kid with some serious mental issue...he really dont know wat is he talkin abt...lolz

  • in medicine is used a lot

  • now they are 2 thousands

  • try to make better quality videos dute.

  • This guy's always pointless

  • lõl_ãñy_guýs_wànt_tó_chät_wîth_mË

  • it is now :D

  • @twistmenot thank you

  • 40 people printed condoms and disliked video ))))))))))))))

  • How is hole created in the 3d object? Eg in a building model a room must have a hole but the roof of that room must be in place, how is that done. because while building a 3d room layers by layers the floor and the side walls may be created as usual but as soon as printing starts for the roof that polymer material will all falldown on the floor. I hope i made myself clear.

  • @anawar1008 i hope i explain this ok lol

the printer head lays down the 'glue' and then a 'sheet' of powder is layered across, so the roof of your building is resting on unglued powder until the thickness to keep it in one peice had been layed down... when its all finished the loose powder is recycled back into the machine leaving the hollowed out inside... :-)

  • @anawar1008

I think the printer uses some kind of support material. When the model is finished you wash it away with special kind of soap.

  • ur gonne shit briks when you see it :)

  • what a waste of time! so useless

  • lolllllllllllllllllllllllz fuck

  • try shapeways for consumer 3D printing :) (no i'm not trying to post spam or advertisements, just thought you guys should know)

  • I have seen one done with chocolate

  • make magazine has one - called the maker bot...

  • well as a matter of fact. any printer prints 3d. (except for printers which don't print at all)

  • @thepianoaddict thats not true a regular printer lays down ink on paper and the paper absorbs the ink and so the ink doesnt add any depth to the paper and is entirely 2d

  • @Punnancoilbone but it absorbs it so it sinks in the paper. so it's 3D because the ink changes shape (also in hight) when absorbed. ofcours you got that i was just trollin :P but actually a 2d object can's exist. in this dimention... I think... paper isn't 2d paper has a thickness. any matter has thickness. (but I'm not sure about radiowaves and light but i quess it'll take a long time untill we figure out what those are.) btw if you keep printing on the same spot it will get thicker. :P

  • @thepianoaddict No they don't, normal printers can only print in 2D.

  • @Haoito so did you respond to my last comment or my earlier one...? if something is 2d.. it does not exist. because matter allways has thickness and ink is matter. it allway's adds to the thickness, when paper absorbs ink, the paper expands. (gets thicker). please explane why you think it's 2D?

  • @thepianoaddict The first one. When you print something with a normal printer what you're "printing", is the image, the paper isn't being printed. The picture is just plain 2D, even though it's printed on a 3D surface. And yeah, ink has height but we're not going to go into that, right?

  • @Haoito Well I just did xD well lets just say that it has so little hight that we can say it is there but it's not enough to discuss about so... I am now ending my side of this discussion :P (that meens I stop replying (but you already knew that :P))

  • @thepianoaddict Dutch people are mean D:

  • @Haoito Spanish people are racist D:

  • @thepianoaddict Me is Chinese (Spam power-up)

  • @Haoito lol :P

  • i know this vid is old by now.. But RepRap project is awesome

  • elek tenan, orak mudeng maksudmu..bacot ae,,

  • hmm, well his webcam is not much good right over here in this vid.

  • get the heelll off youtube

  • @imnotsickimjustaboy Get the fuck off his videos, dumbass

  • The one that called and Pirillo are talking about different 3D printers.

The printers that Pirillo is talking about actually print parts, fully functional if they are simple things like ball bearings, or cogs.

And these are actually usefull, like for example in arquitecture for printing a building, obviously in scale :).

But the one calling was talking about "3D" prints on paper, that only simulate that it is in 3D, and are really useless. And he said the prices of the real 3D parts printers.

  • cool you can make free toys =)

  • makerbot is $750

  • 3:33-3:34 LOLZ

  • @KZBProductionCo funny indeed LOLz !

  • I would buy a 3D printer and print out a car, but I dont have 5 lives to wait for it...

  • the 3rd dimention "Z" is the depth not the height

when you have a paper in front of you the two dimentions ur seeing are "X" and "Y" which are width and height

i see that you are trying to explain to us something even you dont really understand

i cant put URL's in youtube i have a great article about the 3D printing Technologies too bad

  • Comment removed

  • I want to buy 3d printer but still don't know which one

does anyone has 3d printer or any site name (for more info) to recommend?

PLEASE do NOT explain what 3D is to me, I need just simple answers on my question !

    thanks

  • i use a dimension bst 1200, it works well... very well :). the objet printers are very impressive as well.

  • annoying guy

  • are you talking or using your hands to talk?

  • He breathed Helium?

  • Build your own 3D printer

    reprap (dot) org

  • ur so rich O.O

  • hurrah! tix clocks.

  • yes, but its che cheapest option to rapid prototyping...

  • PEOPLE!! there is a way to rapid prototype with a program called pepakura... I myself make papercrafts in this. And yes you also need 3d models.

  • yes , but you have to put alot of time into making them , and they are only hollow paper models , a 3d printer is for people who want to maybe use the parts they printed (if its made of a hard/sturdy plastic) but for just detail the powder printers are the best (zcorp) .

  • Good monitors.

  • This is a rapid prototyping system and niche technology. It isn't printing for the sake of having something cool, it is used in manufacturing. 3D printing is now the most accepted form of rapid prototyping on the market, and is still the fastest growing. This person didn't know much about 3D printing at the time of making this video. Basically, the technology is advanced to the point now of producing fully functional parts using rapid prototyping systems such as 3D printers.

  • no shit? printing on paper is 2d?

  • who knew lol!

  • holy fuck dude you need to smoke a bowl

  • This is scaring the shit out of me!

    and hes quite patronising

  • what's 3d data file?

  • its a file made in a 3d program like cad, maya3d, studio max, blender3d, lightwave,...

  • they are making buterflies

  • Some high end models actually print using metal dust, and the model can be sintered to become quite strong

  • They wana use 3D printers for the future and print out human parts like a heart and lungs and so on !

  • 1 no how 2d printers work it use two b powder but now they cahange antimatter 2 matter

  • my school has one, for the engineering students. it's AWESOME

  • A guy i know has printed a working ball bearing witch was pre-acembled :)

  • Thanks for answering my question, Chris! :)

  • i've seen car models being made from a 3d printer. it's very cool!

  • Didnt some guy in Jurassic Park III use one of those printers to recreate a skull?

  • Cad camm :)

USe for my D.T work :D

  • i saw a show on tv where some guy had created a printer, adapted from a normal inkjet, that printed cells. they demonstrated printing an actual human heart!!!!!!!!!!!!! thay were saying how it could be used for transplant patients. :)

  • so, if you print a screen shot of your web browser it will prink a screen with the browser image?

  • Do a youtube search on 3D printers, I saw a video of one. It's pretty amazing. It prints on some type of paper for each layer of the object for like 5 billion sheets and in a few hours, the paper shrinks into dust and you pull your object out... Go watch a video, it'll explain it better.

  • I saw a crime show a few years ago where they used this printer to recreate a skull and help, though I forget how, solve a case.

  • and it helped*

  • I've seen it "in action".

The example I saw once was a "printed" adjustable spanner, fully functional.

It's like an inkjet printer that can "print" details such as cogwheels, bars, screws, nuts, etc.

Then you can put all these newly printed parts together, and there you have all your own toy.

  • Old news

  • lol....... That would be sweet if you could print functional objects

  • What was the point in that?

  • i suck, i hate me.
