  • You made.. DEATH WATER!

    Great video by the way.

  • did u gdt my email on he video i asked for, its abiout the title loading screen how do u add your name just undaer super metroid

  • I got a question. when I open up the layer 3 type (editor) in fx1, I get a run-time error 402 that says "Must close or hide topmost modal form first" I really have no idea what that means lol.

  • I'm not really sure about that. I've never ran across that kind of problem. Did you already start editing your Rom? Try editing the fx1 in a clean ROM or reinstalling SMILE.

  • Okay I will give it a shot. By the way your tutorials are very good and they are easier to understand than the other ones here on youtube. Keep em coming if you can.

  • thx nice vid im sure we all appreciate the time you take out of your day to make all of us these vids but as a quick ? i m trying to make the fx1 haze turn yellow as to match the planet :D but iv tryed at least 200 valuesand still nothing is their a quicker or easyier way then have to load your game up all the time to check or wouls you happen to know the value lol :D but thx eny way

  • Ahh believe it or not, but I just got the answer to that a few days ago. Haze is special and is not controlled like other fx. You can't change its color using a different palette value. Also, haze has two colors one before a boss (Ceres Ridley) and one after. In the original it is blue, and red. To change the color your gonna need to open up your ROM in a hex editor. (make sure it is unheadered) and go to offset 45E11 (<- Color before boss) or 45E16 (<- Color after boss) to value to C0.

  • (Ran out of room) I think C0 is yellow. There are some more values to play around with. If you want to learn more about it go to metroid2002(dot)com and than forums, than hacks and fan games, and finally SMILE help thread. Here is the list of colors you can use:

    20 Red

    40 Green

    80 Blue

    E0 White

(You add two colors together to create a different one, so yellow is blue and green, right?) so 40 + 80 = C0 (Remember these numbers are in hexadecimal. If you need more help send my a PM!
