i''ve heard different things about what the star means. i've heard it means you've done jail time, 1 point on the star for each year. a barbed wire across the forehead means life in prison. i've heard the star can also just mean that you're a captain, and that sometimes they tattoo it on the knees. frankly, i dont know if anyone (beside russian gangsters) know what it means, or if it only means one thing. it could have multiple meanings to different gangs, ect.
