  • By the gods. I cry everytime I hear this....

  • Is this song worthy of the show, or the show worthy of this song? I can't figure it out, BSG was the best story (not show or syfy show best STORY) ever

  • i can't help but think of meeting my dad on the runway when he cam home from war. it makes me cry like a baby every time i hear this

  • so say we all

    FRAK YEAH

  • Am I the only one that noticed the majority of the time this song played in the show they were drinking? A few times before or after battle it was played but even some of those times celebratory alcohol was involved...lol I tease my girlfriend about it because she has a lot of Irish blood.

  • @thedrnailsguy

How else can you celebrate if not with booze? They have nothing left; Galactica is their only home, and perhaps the alcohol is their only solace.

  • @ColonelSaby lol.... believe me if anyone knows about drinking and having a good time it's me! I wasn't trying to make a social statement, just like to give my girl a good ribbing now and then and was wondering if anyone else noticed it too.

  • Bear McCreary, you magnificent bastard! This one hell of a piece of music and I couldn't have done it better myself!

  • reminds me of the braveheart ost. nice sound

  • i love sad songs. this is one of my favorites

    so say we all

  • Oh my fraking god

    This makes me cry :)

  • Best song from BSG by a longshot!

  • @Saylesman1 A truly beautiful and artistic arrangement, for a such an extraordinary creation: Battlestar Galactica.

  • This one does get the Celtic blood flowing. Doesn't it?

  • So say we all

  • Veni, audivi, clamavi.

  • where s the choar

  • "Raise our kids in peace, enjoy one another's company, live life (as people again)."

  • *salutes*

  • 12 people are cylons

  • @3rdhitman uhm, yes^^ 12 Models^^

  • Man I miss this show!

  • @unohoo29 Good thing for Netflix!!

  • This song reminds me celtic music. I love

  • this makes me want to take a week off of school and do nothing but re-watch BSG in its entirety.

  • @homeyg9 I've done that over Christmas break... Kick back, pop some popcorn, and rewatch some BSG... fave way to relax before finals too.

  • @homeyg9 agreed. Watched it recently with a friend of mine who had no idea about the series... made him cry in the end.

  • So say we all.

  • sadest ending to any show ever

  • Whats that theme they play in the episode "Black Market"? It's the one when they show Lee with Shivon on caprica before the fall.

  • a wonderful song to listen to today...

  • I just love the feeling given by the pipe in so many of these songs. This on and 'A Good Lighter." It's . . . majestic.

  • Hey, if i'm in love with this song what other songs alike do you recommend ?

  • @Mintfriction try Beyond the Night - Rachel Lutrell from Stargate Atlantis. Here's a link.

  • @Flasher410 Thanks :)

  • @Flasher410 YES LOVE IT

  • @Flasher410 YES LOVE IT

  • That melody can both break and heal the heart. Superb.

  • Fare thee well, old bird. Best ship in the fleet. So say we all.

  • its the fleet united song version 3! they seem to have gotten better each season :)

  • I am proud.. to comment in a thread with such great commenters.

  • "Commander Pegasus departing!"

  • @KILLBILL1091 Man I was close to tears I swear when Lee hugged his dad.

  • @lolipopgi the moment he said "dont make me cry on my own hanger deck" Im like dont make my cry in my own living room. God I love this Show!

  • @KILLBILL1091 Aye.

  • I miss this series so much! Especially Laura Roslin / Starbuck / Adama / Apollo.

  • If the song was broadcasted to the world at the same time, there would be that fabled world peace, at least for 3:19 minutes.

  • BSG has the best soundtrack, the best characters, the best acting and the best story of any Tv show of all time.

  • @TrailerrHikk BSG and Firefly :)

  • Anonymous :D

  • What we have, what we are and will become is within those after us. If we are kind and great-full toward them, for them, appreciative of them, we will live on. Do not fear to be kind. Always be polite.

  • I cant believe star wars is more popular than bsg. It's such an epic tv show.

  • @dragonsborne92 its because its a tv show, and not a movie series

  • Beautiful.

  • 11 people are cunts.

  • This reminds me so much of "Gift Of A Thistle" from the movie Braveheart... Amazing songs, both of them :)

  • This is one of those songs that must be played on Memorial Day

  • frak yes! i love this piece

  • Admiral and commander

    Brothers in arms

    Father and son

  • I'm scared of this song.. No matter what mood im in, no matter what state im in, no matter how ready i think i am. Even from coming straight from a heavy metal tune.. this song attempts to make me cry every time.. and it succeeds every time.

  • I want this song played at my funeral.

  • @TARDISdm64 Can't think of a better send off.

  • @TARDISdm64 You and I both, my friend.

  • @TARDISdm64 So do I. Also want the Colonial Anthem played at my funeral.

  • @TARDISdm64

    Oh my god, me too.

  • @TARDISdm64 I have it in my will that this song be played as the last thing anyone hears before my cremation (or ideally my funeral pyre if it's legal in my state)

  • @TARDISdm64 I want 1:43 to 2:22 to be played at my wedding...;)

  • @TARDISdm64 The only problem with that is that YOU'LL never hear it or see your funeral or your loved ones, YOU'LL be dead.

  • @HunterR909

The funeral isn't for him, it's for the people he's left behind. This song gives a feeling he wants them to have.

With your attitude, I suppose your funeral will have few attendees and hardly any shall mourn. :P

  • @phalanxbl I apologize to you and to TARDISdm64 for my blatant lack of sensitivity at that moment, If I could delete my previous statment I would, Again I am trully sorry.

  • @HunterR909

It's all good, buddy, everyone has a bad day once in awhile. =P

Cheers, and may your endeavors bear fruit in any season. :)

  • @phalanxbl

This song gives a feeling he wants them to have.

"See you on the other side."

  • @TARDISdm64 i agree with you. SO SAY WE ALL!!

  • i wish humans were like this, we may fight but when we face a crisis we are once force and not many. but instead we kill each other for what? land, resources and pointless things. we would get more done if we settled our differences and become one family.

  • @plasm2 I accidentally thumbed this down. Sorry...it was not meant to be.

  • the song depresses me so much its ridiculous. The fact that battlestar is over just rly gets me down. :( i know im a nerd for saying all this but battlestar galactica was probubly the best thing i got going for me right now which is pretty sad. this show is pretty much all i got. im comming up on my second time watching the whole thing thru.. and im gonna frakking run it thru 12 more times. :)

  • anyone who disliked this... ur a fraking cylon!

  • If it's get Uilleann pipes in its soundtrack, it gets my bloody vote :D

  • Brings a tear to my eye every time.

  • Are you listening right now?

  • Best song on the soundtrack. @ImportedBox, I agree. I want this played at my funeral.

  • Such impossibly good music should guarantee Bear McCreary a spot in heaven :)

  • Just... (try not to cry) beautifull

  • on my funeral.

  • 11 people didn't make it to the rendezvous point.

  • Probably shouldn't go looking up shows you're in the process of watching on youtube to begin with if you want to avoid spoilers.

  • im no nerd but i still think that this one of the best shows i have ever seen next to sopranos and sons of anarchy

  • I've tried getting my flatmate to watch this INCREDIBLE series. He won't. I'm beginning to think he could be a cylon................asshole.

  • You all realize the term " Nerd " is a derogatory and NOT a Complement, The same for the word " Geek " was not meant to be congradulatory, But to poke fun at those ppl smarter than the ones using the words.

And to call those who didn't like the music, Cylons, tsk tsk tsk, everyone has the right not to like something, Just as I dislike RAP to the max.

  • @HunterR909 shut up concern troll we are proud of our nerd/ geek status

  • @100ThomasFletcher

    So say we all.

  • @HunterR909 If you say so, but IMO nerds are responsible for most human achievements. It was a nerd sitting in the sun who figured out how to chip flint correctly. It was a nerd in the back room who programmed the computers that took men to the moon. All this through out our history while the non-nerds were hooting and yelling at one another. If you want the job done right, hire the nerd.

  • @Gracie0935 So Say We All! We, the nerds, are responsible for technology as it is today. Like I've said, "You like the iPhone? Nerds created the apps and the hardware."

  • @adamaroslinfanatic Not only the tech, but the big ideas that led to the tech. For example, Einstein: When he was a teenager he tried to image what the world would look like if he rode on a beam of light. Can't get much more nerdy than that, but from it came the theory of special relativity which revolutionized our view of the cosmos. As another nerd said, the universe is not only stranger than we image; it is stranger than we can image.

  • what you said is so freaking true!

  • @Ryagful

    Thanks

  • @Gracie0935 If man did, in fact, ever actually go to the Moon...

  • @Gracie0935 bravo

  • @7koan Thank you. Another thing about nerds, they're usually good people. Not personality kids or sparkling conversationalists, but they don't go out their way to be d bags. Plus, if you ask them nicely, supply the cheez puffs and diet soda, they'll do just about anything for you.

  • well ten people are cylons

  • This song brings tears to my eyes

  • "Don't make me cry on my own hangar deck"

  • This and the Blackhawk Down version of Minstrel Boy are the best produced so far. It brings strong emotion.

  • @happydelicious Fuck yeah! Black Hawk Dawn is one of my favorite movies, mainly because of the music.

  • the most beautiful song from battlestar galactika

  • Rear McBeary <3

  • Sweet ♥

  • When lee and the pegaus jump back to help the galactica. it was one of the best moments in the series. the pride lee had. the hope he gave them all. and the boost adama needed to take a victory in his mission. also the look on adamas face says it all. "thank you lee"

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome soundtrack, a real masterpiece. I cant stop listening...

  • SO SAY WE ALL!

  • I think this song truly captured the essence of father and son, or shall I say admiral and commander? ;D

  • Lee looked so sad when he left galactica.......but when he came back that next episode to help him i swear i screamed HELL YEAH!!!!!!!

  • "Sometimes you've got to roll a hard six."

  • this show is better than Avatar by a long way

  • season 1 episode 12, decided to rewatch the series and heard this song... just had to look it up ^.^

  • So Say We All!

  • @GoW125 SO SAY WE ALL!

  • Frackin gaius baltar!!!!!!!!

  • I heard this song yesterday on the 6th or 7th episode of the Caprica series, when young teenage Will Adama is with his father performing the Tauron ritual for his mother's and sister's deaths.

It was excellently and perfectly placed there, I am now addicted to the series like I was with BSG.

  • @GouAlex It is so sad that Caprica got the axe... That show was pretty good.

  • @doubleg137 What?!... :( Why does immediate profit has always to interfere with the making of a good show? How many people will buy Caprica knowing it isn't completed?!... How's that for profit?.. Such bad management :S

  • SO SAY WE ALL!!

  • It's amazing how McCreary can keep reinventing the same theme. This, "Farewell Apollo," and "Wander My Friends" are so beautiful. Listening to these tracks sometimes moves me to tears. I really believe BSG has the best soundtrack of any movie or TV series ever.

  • Is battlestar Galatica worth watching?

  • @RazorRabidz Most definitely :)

  • @mdeschayn I assume u have watched them d:

So tell me... Do they ever find Earth? :D

  • @RazorRabidz Do you really want me to spoil it for you? You should watch and find out :)

  • @RazorRabidz Honestly, it is the Best TV show i have EVER watched...quality stuff

  • @RazorRabidz Hell yeah it is.

  • lets see how long of a chant we can have

    reply to this

    SO SAY WE ALL!!

  • @CrypticWatcher So Say We ALL!

  • i know this song is About Will and Lee.

but i Can also see it being about Will and Cain.

The Relationship they Should have had. i still think to this Second. That Cain should have Died With the Pegasus, Like, Instead of her Dying by getting shot, she Stayed in command and Ordered the Jump Away from New Cap. And for the Rescue the same thing happens, but Pegasus Jumps in Under Cains Command. and her last words " Take care Bill" then pegasus hits the Baseship.

    Just my opinion

  • @stargate302 Wow. Let me take that further and suggest that Adama would try to stay and fight when Cain ordered a jump, and after a yelling match over the wireless a ship gets destroyed before Adama complies. The conflict keeps going afterward and there is a constant threat with both admirals on the verge of going to war with each other (especially now that the govt. is not around). Cain finally stops it in a rare moment of character growth when she allows Galactica to make the rescue attempt.

  • 9 people must be airlocked.

  • Best BSG Song Evar!!!!!!

  • SO SAY WE ALL!!!!!

  • Its better than reuniting the Fleet, more sad.....

Makes me remember something i lost not long ago.....

  • SO SAY WE ALL!!!

  • SO SAY WE ALL!!!!

  • Don't.. don't make me cry on my own hangar deck.

  • @ProphetofWar Lol, when I started thinking about that, it's hilarious!

"Don't! Don't make me cry.. on my own hangardeck!"

  • 9 people need to be put out the nearest airlock.

  • @TheLogicalGod SO SAY WE ALL.

  • @TheLogicalGod nine people are cylons

  • @moonsorrow77 SO SAY WE ALL

  • @Shadow4387 THANX MATE,SO SAY WE ALL.

  • Thank god, i finnaly found it !!

  • I always get choked up on this scene when they play this after returning to the Galactica from New Caprica. Specifically when Tigh, sounding reluctant says, "Permission to come aboard, Admiral?" and Adama sees him for the first time since losing his eye and poisoning Ellen because he felt he had to.

I love that scene because it's so different from the cold, heartless Tigh we are used to at that point.

  • @FullCollapseOnImpact Aren't you thinking of "Refugees Return" (track #5 on the CD)?

  • @antred11 You're absolutely right, just watched it again. Same episode, but different song. The sad sound of this song made me think of that scene.

  • Adama: I'll see you at the rendezvous point.

Apollo: 18 hours. Try not to be late.

Adama: I'm getting old. I'm a little slow. But I'll be there.

Apollo: Gods, I wish I could talk you out of this.

    Adama: You can't. You tried.

    Apollo: You know Dad...

Adama: Don't. Don't make me cry on my own hangar deck.

Admiral and Commander. Father and Son.

  • @mk3oarder Not to sound like a troll, but isn't this sorta a spoiler for those (few) of us who hasn't seen the show? At least, from the tone it implies something grim

  • @Kirijh trust me, there are so many grim moments throughout the entire show that it ives away nothing

  • this song is unbelievably beautiful... i love that they included a bit of it into Caprica.

  • @nicodanny2112 yeah when Joseph is telling young William their names is Adama not Adams, awesome and perfect for that moment

  • somehow only few worsd come to my mind when i hear this: home, our family, the ones close to us, the ones we love peace and freedom. such a beautiful song

  • This track wants to be longer

  • Comment removed

  • Nine frakking toasters are going to get shot to hell by Starbuck, godsdammit.

  • "18 hours, dont be late"
